Back then Dodge Ramchargers, Plymouth Traildusters, and all size Dodge Trucks were all built on the same lines and yes that part was called a rag joint. All of them used the same part along with the same bolts.

Back when I worked at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant building Dodge trucks we called that the rag joint and those were the rag joint bolts. I can't really tell from the picture but that does look like one of the old Dodge Trucks.

That roll pin can come out either way. When I removed the roll pin from my 66 I used a long punch and just hit all around the out side edge of the pin. Use some force that pin has been in there for a long time but it will come out.

I had a chance to get some of the parts blasted and ready for paint, and removed the old control arm bushings. Now I just need to wait for the new torsion bars and the stiffening plates from PST. Should see them by Friday of next week, hope to have it put back together next weekend. Still...

Success all done, having the right tools really does help sometimes. Turns out that the torsion bar was stuck in the back housing, I had to cut the torsion bar in half then the pivot shaft came right out then I used the pneumatic jack hammer to drive the torsion bar from the back of the housing...
