    1969 Dart---Spring relocation with mini-tubs

Hadn't heard about your surgery, glad you were able to reply. OP is trying to get some traction and I know you do well even without minitubs. Perhaps you can share?

I did the same, ended up tweaking the torsion bars to level the ride from the arch difference.

Ooooops, wont be driving the car for a week or so.

I wonder if putting some antiseize on the threads would help? Couldn't hurt and might make the threads slide easier on the bolts.

    Aligned into oblivion

So I picked up the car after work today and drove it home. No wandering, no rubbing and clearance between the tire and fender, done for free. I wanted to have an indepth conversation with the owner but I got there after they closed. He was telling me the car was hit in the front end at some...

    Aligned into oblivion

Its where the rim rubbed the metal away on the control arm and the ball joint edge. Its a 16 mile trip home from the shop. I've since made a spacer for the trip to the shop. Owner agreed to take a look and see what he could do. Appointment tomorrow.

    Aligned into oblivion

I don't know much about front end parts so thanks for all the helpful information. I'm gonna have a conversation with the shop owner and find out the specs it was aligned to. If he can assure me he can deliver a quality job for free he may see the car again. I just don't want anything to...

    Aligned into oblivion

I did put 15" wheels and tires on but been driving it for months with no clearance issues. They did left ball joint (not the side rubbing) strut rod bushings and alignment. They also stripped the torsion bar saddle bolt and charged me $65 to replace. Theres a note on the bill "*front tire...

    Aligned into oblivion

So I raised the torsion bars to gain ground clearance, and the front end was wandering, so I took the car to an experienced shop. My $69 alignment turned into an $800 front end rebuild. I went to pick up the car and he told me he got everything aligned, but I would need to get a spacer for the...

Have you checked the idler arm yet? A little wear acts just like that. Jack up the front end and check for up and down slop. Good luck.

does anyone make a complete front frame clip for a 67 dart ?

Check out autorust.com. They make a unit that fits over and welds into place so you don't have to remove yours.

    Spring arch, is this normal?

I was going to mention the SS springs have a different arch side to side to help launch straight and counteract engine torque. After I installed mine I had to adjust the torsion bars to get the car to sit level, not a lot but you can feel the difference in rebound when you take bumps.

    Spring arch, is this normal?

Do you know anyone in your area that has installed the superstock springs? Thinkin a ride with them will give you the answer. With the improvements you've done to the front end it won't take much. I put the SS springs on my Dart and ESPO 2" higher on my Cuda. The Dart rides a little stiffer...
