I had 225 70 15's and I went to 225 60 15's. Gave me about 3/4" smaller tire. I also have the torsion bars up a bit to clear the headers too. Hope this helps. Good luck with your build!

They have a process where you initiate a claim, take them to a dealer and the dealer calls B F while you are right there and hopefully resolves the issue.

I rolled that fat lip on my 69 gt vert with a heat gun and wooden bat. Squeezed in a 225 70 r 14 without a spring relocation kit.

Perhaps you can trade for someone with narrower rims?

BTW the BFG's on my Dart are 3 years older and they all stay white!

Got BFG's on my Barracuda, the front ones stay white, the back ones turn brown.

I bought these tires online about a year and a half ago and the raised white letters on the back tires 255 60 15 have turned brown. Anybody know if this is a factory defect or should I just try to paint them white again. The front tires are still white. Thanks for any help.

If your tires are rubbing at the center of the wheel well opening you might consider rolling the lip. There are a lot of good videos, I did mine with a wooden baseball bat and a good quality heat gun. Got the paint hot so it would flex and just took it slow. Gained about 1/2 clearance.

Hit the gas, watch how full the streaks are. If only the center leaves a streak, lower the pressure a little. When you have the back set match it with the front. That gives you maximum traction for turns and cornering. They make the tires to fit any weight car and you need to match it to yours.

Its possible to roll the lip with a base ball bat (wood) and a heat gun, videos on youtube. I gained over 1" on my fat rear lip. Also a taller tire leans more on the turns and air pressure becomes more important.
