    Living with 3.91's

3.91..fun-fun-fun! I don't "often" take the car out on the freeways for any lengthly drives or racing for that matter.... however, I sure love the 3.91s for excellent "quick" 1/2 blocks then shutter down some..... just to say....up yours tang!! :thebirdm: (They get the point) :-D

i need an overall opinion on a msd 6a

I run the 6a. I don't race or shift often at overly high RPMs. Even though I really wanted the 6al I have found for the price it's an excellent piece of gear. I have had no problems at all with it! Great for instant starting - Good for improved gas milage..(less waste, complete...

    '69 Dart Custom Timing Trouble

Not really sure, just a stab here...Is it possible your harmonic balancer outer ring has shifted from the crank? this could put your timing scale TDC out by a few degrees when lining up the cam...(I think).:read2:

    Vacume Spring??

Mr.318, Hi..I just got her flashed up so I haven't looked at the plugs as yet. She gos like hell when on the move, a little ruff (like slight miss now and then) just crusing. I'm not the guy that just wants too burn up tires, but I should be able to spin if matted from stand still. BTW yes...

    Vacume Spring??

The motor was completely re-built by qualified motor shop, 30 over, new flat tops, the works. They are 318 HP heads cast in 360. They have 360 valves but don't require any milling. I was told I had about 9:1 comp. The convertor is a 2500 stall. Note, this motor, trans came out of my kids...

    Vacume Spring??

I'm at 18-19 vac at idle max. I got the tric kit, but I think they were just a re-build kit with standard replacement parts.

    Vacume Spring??

I can understand not in neutral because no load...So your saying that the Holley's 4 never open during accel from a stand still?

    Vacume Spring??

Need advice... My car won't kick *** from a stand still! This motor "kick *** big time" when in the kids duster but I'm not sure whats-up and why it's sleeping from a "stand still". On the move it digs in pretty good, however I can't even scratch the rear tires...I'm thinking maybe the 4Bs are...

    Oil Pan Help small blocks

Dave, I don't use the brand as the one you want, however I think this could be a tricky question. As stated fits "Most" Mopars, ensure the sump area is in the same location and that their is a cut away for your steering link etc. Depending on your pump pressure now, I would think its safe you...

    Cam Gear Drive

Well, I have decided to do a engine swap this summer and drop the 273 for my sons built up 318. While the engines out I was thinking about a cam gear drive by Milodon. Their not cheap but I have aways liked the sound. My question...has anyone had one? How do they sound in MOPS? Like I mentioned...

    69 valiant 273 suggestions

Low HP on bottom end or top...or all around? I could be wrong but with stock heads i would bet that the 340 intake is alittle overkill. When you change I would really like to know the differance (if any 65) I like to think....keep them balanced from carb to crank. Good Luck

    69 valiant 273 suggestions

Your welcome on my input Steve. Thanks for your comments on my Signet :thumblef: Mine is a 273 rebuilt 30K, I have most what's listed without cam and headwork and stall..basic stock with just bolt-ons. If you have read through this thread the dyno numbers (I think) are very impressive for a 273...

    69 valiant 273 suggestions

I'm on it Sid :salut: Hi mightyss (Steve), I think you sound pretty much on task for a 273. The 273 is a great winding motor. I have talked to many about my 273 and there's a couple of ways you can go. As you stated above, keeping it fairly stock with added bolt-ons... Your motor is...

Yah for sure, there's nothin like looking up to see what's coming your way or turning to see whats coming from behind with that drive sound then the deep sound of the exhaust ripping into and through your gut, man... almost gives a guy a w**dy. Too bad their so $$. 8)

    Smallblock gear drive ?

You got your info yet? I had to shave down mine as well, no big deal. On my 318, I went from a single to dubble chain and the leading edge of the eccentic was rubbing on the cover, not a good thing. I just removed it, measured and cut, smoothed out the edges. not sure about your new drive...
