14" SBP Cragar SS and Tire Questions

I have the same rims with P215/60 fronts and P245/60 rears. The rears are as large as I could go without a relocation kit. I went smaller profile on the fronts because the rears were too large and didn't look right...(would possibly rub anyways. PS I had to roll the rear well lips a tad which...

    Advice On Wheels.....

I think it will depends on the size of the cragars you get. (backspacing ect). I think 5x4 are hard to find. I have a 69 Signet with the 70s Cragars and BF Goodrich tires. The rims are 7" wide...can't remember the backspacing, but were concidered a deep dish. Front P125/60R/14 Rear P145/60R/14...

    4" or 4.5"

Although your question is EZ to answer there's a few options you can do, but you must be careful and understand what those options are and what you can afford. Firstly, I would suggest you read a bit of this link below to give yourself a little knowlege on the rear ends before you run out and...

    Tire and Rim Dilemma

Sid, mine are the "old" 14" Cragar SS (early 70s). All 4 rims are 7". If i'm correct the offset is 1" negitive. (giving a 4" deep dish look) with 3" back spacing. I'm not "really" up on this myself. :salut:

    Tire and Rim Dilemma

Because my Signet had the low rear wheel wells, and the rims are a deep dish style the tires (P245 60 14) would only rub going over bumps or if someone was sitting in the rear. I ended up lightly rolling and pounding with a rubber mallet on the inner well. (worked good). My total clearance is...

    Front wheel clearance help

Smythge, they are tightened from the front (the large bolts). If they at least look good and straight they could be fine. Did you jack up the car a check all your jounts? Perhaps all you need is a alingment, but out a inch sounds like a lot. If you can't find a problems at all, it would be an...

    Front wheel clearance help

I'm not sure about your MAX tire size for up front, however many guys run 27" and I have heard some tires rub a little in turns depending on how wide they are. I would think from your statement that your passenger side lower control is out of wack or adjustment. If you have a lower control arm...

    what "rake" do you like?

Your duster has a nice stance as well giggy. When it comes down to it, a lot of that nice rear end tucked/tubed look very much depends on the well/fender opening as we all know of course. Athough my Signet only has the small bolt pattern with fourteens, the lower rear fenders give the impression...

    what "rake" do you like?

yah, that looks pretty good. I see you have the deep oil pan. I just have header problems...They owch now and then when they meet the pavement :banghead:

    what "rake" do you like?

dubldart340, now you have a nice stance dude!!! :thumblef: Just love the way you rear rims meet your finder lip and hardly any gap up front...cool.
  25. 69signetv8

    what "rake" do you like?

I only have the small bolt pattern, but I really liked the lowered tubed look. I went for the fronts: 215/60R14 which stand 23" and about 8" wide 245/60R14 which stand 25" and about 10" wide. This is all it can handle without spring relocation. The front was lowered just slightly to get rid...
