It's interesting seeing the small differences between your '58 and my '57. Mine was originally red/white but was repainted sometime in the early 80's. As far as I can tell, the red was where the blue is now, the white was the same. This pic is when I bought it, I've now got the original wheels...

Any progress? I took my '57 out today for the first time this year.

The Neutral start was a weird one, my '57 Royal Lancer and my '57 Custom Royal Lancer both have it. It was only used by Dodge, only with a 3 speed Torqueflite. The 2 speed Powerflite didn't get it, it used the key. Plymouth, Chrysler, and DeSoto all used the key, no matter 3 speed or 2 speed.

I also picked up one of my all-time favorites, a '57 Dodge Royal Lancer. 325 4 bbl Poly, pushbutton Torqueflite trans.

I got the parts car home for my '57 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer, this one is a '57 Dodge Royal Lancer. It's an American car, whereas the Custom Royal is Canadian. This one has a 325 Poly. Looks like nobody ever opened the trunk, good usable sets of door panels, beautiful headliner, good arm rests...

I absolutely agree. Every angle I look at it, it's beautiful. Typically a vehicle has an angle that just doesn't look right, but not with this one. SO many '55 - 57 Chevy's running around town... boring.

The 354 Chrysler is on the right, covered in dust. I ran the numbers, it's actually from a Chrysler 300B. The one on the left is a '56 DeSoto 330.
