I took this 340 from this.. To this.. Been running it in my Dart for 3 years now with no problems, and have driven it 10 hours one way on the highway before. No problems.

Hey, welcome to the site, I see from your postal code you're over in Port Alberni, I'm near Parksville. As for your tranny, I believe there's a special tab it needs on the side for the floor linkage.. Maybe someone can provide a picture.

I'll take some more pics in a bit. As for the steering linkage, something is off with it. The idler arm hits the torsion bar when steering.

I agree. This sounds like that beautiful Fury Gran Sport that someone pulled the motor/tranny out of just to have a big block. Then he was going to scrap the car.. WTF.

It's bad ***, sounds like a nostalgia drag track when he drives it around. The Hemi is a 1957 and so is the loader.

This is an Industrial Hemi that a friend of mine put in his Scoot. It pulls hard and is very reliable.

Oh, funny that it's registered as a Dart. It could very well be a Dart, I'm just looking at the condition of the paint and how everything matches pretty well, and the trim and all that, but the front fenders/bumper look to be Plymouth Scamp/Valiant/Duster, yet the rear bumper is a 71-73 Dart...

And what are the plans for the Scamp? (Different rear bumper but looks to be a Plymouth front end.)

I believe the GTS ended in 69, and that there were just small blocks in the Dart from 70 to 76. Also, GT doesn't mean big block or small block, often GT's had /6.

I haven't done a 354, but I've got a running 246 hemi, was going to buy a beat A body to put it into. Haven't done that idea yet. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't. DO IT!

If I were you, even if you're going the small block route, I would still snatch up that big block, pretty cheap.
