    Ford 9" in 1965 Barracuda...an option?

Could happen. I've thrown away several 7 1/4 rear ends over the years. For what I build they are useless so I just toss them in the scrap pile. Everything I build gets a Dana 60 or a Ford 9 inch. The trick is that you have to be in the right spot at the right time to find someone who is tossing...

    Ford 9" in 1965 Barracuda...an option?

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere it is easy to find someone who can narrow a Ford 9 inch. Not saying it will be cheap, or done correctly, but every street rod/hot rod/chassis shop I've ever been in had a Ford 9 inch jig.

    What diff locker is best

Depends on which rearend you are using. I have a Detroit Locker in the S60 under my Duster but I'm going to replace it with a Strange S-Trac. The Locker works great at the track but it behaves weird on the street. I have a S-Trac in the S60 under my Coronet and it is better behaved on the street...

    Dana 60 questions

No not a mistake. I ordered one of the first set of 3.23 gears available from Doctor Diff. The car isn't running yet, might be a few more weeks before I have it back on the ground. Lots of little details to sort out......

    Dana 60 questions

If you are ordering a new S60 rearend then Cass will most likely tell you to step up to the Strange helical gear differential. Did you look at the ordering form on the Strange website? If not you should walk thru the option list. I just ordered a new S60 rearend and I went with the helical...

    4, 5 and 6 speed manual swaps

I put a 5 speed behind the BB in my '65 Coronet about 25 years ago. There weren't any kits back in those days!

Cost to build a 500 stroker?

Budget $10,000 if all you have is a bare block. The major parts such as heads, intake, carb, cam, valvetain, rotating assembly, etc will cost about $5000 for parts. Then you need all kinds of little parts such as gaskets, bearings, rings, headers, plugs, water pump, starter, distributor, etc.

    Yoke Holder

If I read the post correctly you spent 2 hours making yours. Some people can make more than $10 an hour so they would rather buy a tool for $22 than work 2 hours to make one.

    Yoke Holder

Mancini Racing carries a universal yoke holder for $22.

5 speed manual trans for B/RB blocks

Lots of 5 speed transmissions to fit a big block. I'm surprised no one mentioned Keisler for instance. They make complete kits for that application. I've run a Doug Nash behind the big block in my B body car for almost 20 years now. Doug Nash isn't around anymore but they sold the rights to...
