Can I have a \6 radiator for less than $750?

Your local rebuild shop is trying to rip you off.

26 inch radiator in a duster?

I used a 27 inch radiator from a big block Cordoba in my '72 Duster. It did require some sheet metal mods to fit since my car didn't come with the bigger radiator. My 512 street engine stays nice and cool with the factory big block radiator and shroud. So it can be done, but if the car wasn't...

    Time for a rad.

I'm super happy with the Cordoba radiator in my Duster. I also used the shroud from the Cordoba as well as a big 7 blade clutch fan. The engine stays right at 185 degrees around town, on the freeway and sitting in the sun idling.

    RADIATOR OVERFLOW

I looked at using that one in my Duster but I have that 27 inch Cordoba radiator so I didn't have room down at the frame rail. I ended up ditching the horns and used the space for the more rectangular overflow bottle. Not sure what the application is for it, I just bought it off of Amazon. Might...

How much power with a manual water pump?

Yeah sure, why not? I run manual water pumps on both of my cars and they both have stroker big blocks making more than 600 hp. The Duster has a Cordoba radiator with shroud and clutch fan. All set up like the factory would've done it.

There should be a temperature difference across the radiator since that is the whole point of having a radiator. The radiator cools the water so the outlet temperature should be colder than the inlet temperature. If your water is 235 going in and 190 coming out then your radiator is working.

    Radiator construction

It doesn't really matter for any of the projects I work on, either work just fine. Race cars usually get an aluminum radiator while street cars and resto mods get the factory style. I put a factory Cordoba radiator in my '72 Duster just because it looks original that way. I don't think I'll have...

    Cordoba radiator in '72 Duster

No, the core support came from US Car Tool. I then made some modifications to the USCT core support for my radiator. If I was doing it again I'd tweak the design even more. Some stuff you just can't figure out until the project is done and then you see how it could've been better or easier.

    Hood clearance is fine.

    Cordoba radiator in '72 Duster

The trick was to replace the front core support. Once you do that the Cordoba radiator just bolts in.

    Cordoba radiator in '72 Duster

Yes, it is a low deck 512 with sequential injection and coil near plug. Should be running here shortly if I stay in the garage and work rather than coming in the house and surfing the web.

    Cordoba radiator in '72 Duster

It fits but it is a tight fit. I like how it looks, it has a very OEM appearance. I'm pretty sure this will keep the engine cool but I won't find out until the wiring is finished.

    big block cooling

I have a buddy who had the same issue so I built some adapter blocks for him so he could run a remote water pump. Moving the water pump down to the frame rail opens up a bunch of room in front of the engine so he could use a pair of really large electric fans.
