    FiTech EFI system

That's what I'm using. Great set up. Easy to install. Use existing steel line with the -6 an to olive fitting to connect to existing steel line, cutting off the barb on the ends where the old hoses connect. Used a Jakefab fuel puck to keep the price down as well. Can't fault it, great system...

Pumping the gas pedal - alot

Don't forget to hold your tongue in the right spot too...up against your right cheek... and push.

What fuel pump are you guys using for FITECH?

I'm pretty sure when I was talking to Johnny at Pace, he told me the new pumps these days can just be mounted on the chassis rail, they have enough capacity in them to be able to pull fuel out of the tank so long as it's not too much higher than the tank.

What fuel pump are you guys using for FITECH?

I've used an Aeromotive 340Lph in tank pump to feed the beast, was only about $150 US, I bought one local to me.

What fuel pump are you guys using for FITECH?

Those fuel pucks are for an in tank pump. I suppose you could also use for an external pump if you wanted to.

What fuel pump are you guys using for FITECH?

Use one of these fuel pucks as well, a bit cheaper than the mainline brands and also supports a fellow Mopar enthusiast: jakefab LLC

    Throttle body injection

I haven't had an issue with any lean conditions, just sounds funny when you go to accelerate. I'm thinking I'm going to pull up some day next to a rice mobile or another hot V8 and they're probably going to be thinking "what the hell is in that" then try and race me. It's reasonably loud and...

Yeah those forums have been good. Thats how I found the issue with the TPS I had on the other thread.

    Throttle body injection

So you went from a dead head system to using the regulator on the Holley unit and a return line back to the tank? I was wondering about that. I'm running a dead head system and I'm getting a bit of a whistle through the throttle body when I start to mash the peddle, almost sounds like the...

What fuel pump are you guys using for FITECH?

X2 on the tanks inc. setup. You wont regret it at all and for all the problems that people seem to be having with the FCC, it's a walk in the park with the in tank pump. If you don't want to run a return line you don't have to either, just use the filter/regulator combo unit off a Corvette...

    Fitech idleing issues

Ok it may be a different issue but I have a Holley Sniper with a similar issue. The TPS wasn't zeroing and the IAC didn't appear to be working properly. I had a look on the Holley sniper forum and found out that the TPS that comes with it is a cheap and nasty piece of poo. It is however a GM...

    Throttle body injection

Holley sniper on a 383 in a 69 Cuda convertible.... :icon_fU:. It has been really fun to play and tinker with and tune. When I first got it going and running and "tuning" by itself, I thought I got it pretty close. Then I went and got a pro-tune on a Dyno with the optional USB cable and used the...

    Holley Sniper EFI

Does the sniper come in a bigger size? Is there a bigger unit that's rated for more than 650 HP? It looks like even their Terminator system stops at that level.

    Holley Sniper EFI

Only an issue if you have hood clearance issues I guess, as that's the issue I have. I do have another single plane manifold on the shelf that I've measured and I know will fit, but not going to change it yet unless I absolutely have to, like a gasket leak or something.

    Holley Sniper EFI

I'm pretty sure the Edelbrock manifold I'm running has the small half divider between the two planes. I don't think there is much of a performance issue and it definitely doesn't affect the idling.

    Holley Sniper EFI

I don't know what there is to think about Bob. I'm still using a dual plane manifold at the moment and have the single plane on the shelf ready to go if need be, haven't needed to change it yet. No issues with the dual plane. By the looks, the sensors that Holley use are el cheapo one's.

    Holley Sniper EFI

It's good that they used GM style sensors, they are a direct replacement by the looks, the TPS and the IAC I know are the same now.

    Holley Sniper EFI

I've solved the issues I've had recently. I gave the motor a wash and apparently it's a bad idea to get any moisture near the TPS. From the symptoms presented - TPS not zeroing and an eratic/non responsive IAC - I replaced both and now its settled. I narrowed it down to the TPS getting moisture...

    Holley Sniper EFI

Yeah I'll keep you in the loop by posting on here as well as CC on emails. Any idea what the static timing setting should be on? I've put the cranking timing on 10 just to make it a bit easier to start.

    Holley Sniper EFI

Yeah Woody was supposed to get back to me after he got back from holidays today, by the time I get the new manifold on he should be back online. I wasn't able to adjust the idle anymore, I set the timing at 15 deg and the warm idle at 750 rpm, turned off the idle spark control and checked the...

    Holley Sniper EFI

Hi Johnny, I'm still having a few issues, haven't been able to play with the car much due to bad weather here. I'm looking at replacing the manifold with a single plane one I had in the shed, going to see if it makes a difference. I noticed too, when I make adjustments with the SD card out and...

    Holley Sniper EFI

So the problem I had is repeating itself again, only this time I got the car started. The engine goes to start and then as the key is backed off the engine tries to catch to run and coughs up white smoke. After the 3rd time I tried it, it caught and started running and idling. The IAC when it...

    Holley Sniper EFI

Well what a difference a day makes. After fixing the timing light 'cos of dropping it in a bucket of coolant, I hooked it up to check the timing and turned the engine over by bridging the starter solenoid with a screwdriver. To my surprise... it fired straight away. Haha... I don't know what we...

    Holley Sniper EFI

I finally made some progress on the install this weekend and after a few issues with fuel fittings and the corvetter fuel pressure regulator/filter I managed to get the unit to the point were I have installed the engine parameters and am now in the process of trying to start for the first time...

Should be able to make one so long as they haven't used custom plugs, I haven't looked at my unit yet, $50 for a lead is a bit steep.

    Holley Sniper EFI

Yeah, I'm tempted to dive in head first. I've heard a few different settings for the base timing, some say 10 deg, some say 15. I'm thinking I'll set it at 10 with the dist locked out.

    Holley Sniper EFI

Yep, no probs. I might have to pick your brains on the initial settings for the timing control, just using the 2 wire dust. you sold me with the high voltage coil. I know I have to wire in the coil driver as well.
