    4 Speed Reinstall From Underneath

This is the best $100 I have spent lately. Should be able to slide the trans STRAIGHT in without having to bench press it. I'll use it a couple of times and put it on Marketplace.

    Duster clutch safety switch issue

    A833 fluid

Thanks! I read that earlier and was planning on going that way, but thought I'd ask about the gear lube above since it was free. I'll also look into the Redline fluid.

What’s everyone’s opinion on running this in my newly rebuilt A833? I have cases of it.

    Cross members compatibility

Yes. 67-72 stick cars use the same crossmember. I'm converting mine right now. I took mine down to bare steel and painted it with chassis paint.

    Pedal Extensions?

I'm 5' 6" and drive at least ten different cars every day. No problem. If my daughter wanted to drive my car I would find a way to make it happen. I wouldn't worry about what the next owner had to do to correct it either.

Lakewood BBM aluminum bell alignment ring question

I have a similar situation occurring with a QuickTime bellhousing. The ring fits the bellhousing nice but is tight on the bearing retainer.

    4 SPEED INTERCHANGE QUESTION

Your bellhousing should look like this if you're going to use it with a four speed. Just pulled this one yesterday from my 70 318 three speed.

You WILL need the special tool for the bushing install. I took mine to someone who had the tool.

Three to Four Speed Trans Swap Questions?

Thanks! I'll check that out later today. I'll still need a yoke for the driveshaft though. According to Brewer's, the A body four speeds take the 30 spline yoke? It looks like they have them in stock.

Three to Four Speed Trans Swap Questions?

I have another aluminum bellhousing but I think it was out of a pick up. I'll have to drag it out today and see if I can get some numbers off of it.

Three to Four Speed Trans Swap Questions?

I bought an A body four speed out of a 69 Dart to put into my Duster. It currently has a 318 with a factory three speed on the floor. I was wondering how many of the original parts can be retained? The clutch and pressure plate are fairly new and the flywheel was resurfaced by the previous...

Old Hot Rod Article about converting a std 4 speed to OD

I have been kicking this idea around in my head to replace the three speed in my Duster. I would love to be able to run through the first three gears and then drop into OD when I reach highway speeds. Seems like the best of both worlds to me?

    Help ID Some Pedals?

It sounds like they will fit my 67 either way. I was worried that they might be earlier or late pedals that wouldn't fit. I'm going to go pick them up this afternoon and we'll look for part numbers on them. The guy has a complete A body 8 3/4 that I'm interested in getting a peek at also!

    Help ID Some Pedals?

Okay. Using the info from the Brewer's page these would be 70-72 pedals because they have the clutch switch on them? Brewer's doesn't say anything about clutch switches on any of their other A body pedals. Anyone else care to chime in?

    Help ID Some Pedals?

I have a line on some pedals locally to convert my 67 Dart to a manual transmission. I'm not sure if these will work? Can anyone shed some light on the subject? Thanks!

Stop bolts on Hurst shifter Mechanism

I think that it is pretty straight forward too. I always put the shifter in first gear and then run the stop bolt in until it barely touches and lock it down. The same for doing 2nd & 4th. The bolt is meant to take the brunt of the shift lever force so that the shift rods don't have to.
