    Pretty sure that piece is available from Classic Industries if you simply want to replace it. Same for the floor skin. My son is doing the entire floor from rear seat splice to firewall seam; it is readily available. All depends on if you are happy with a patchwork repair or want a correct...

    Subframes, floorboards, spare tire well in trunk generally show the most rust damage. I'd be most worried about the subs. Everything is is easily replaceable or repaired. Subs...not so much.

    Differences on the '72 and later 340's (nutshell version) 1) flat-top lower compression (8.5:1) as opposed to earlier 10.5:1 2) J-heads with 1.88 intakes as opposed to early J-heads and X-Heads utilizing 2.02 intakes 3) Cast crank, externally balanced damper and flywheel 4) 68-70 340's used...
