    Intake Manifold Flow #'s

All this is very fascinating. What I need though, is a link to the Hughes site so I can find the compare for the smallblock manifolds. Does anyone have the link?

    X Head cc's

Ported and polished, yes. Milled, no. CC'd....well, I'd paid for them to be cc'd, but with 67cc chambers I'd guess I was taken......... :wack:

    "J" heads porting?

A while back I posted a thread regarding my mildly ported and cc'd 1.88 "J" heads. A few of you responded with some links to some head porting guys...supposedly the best in the business....and I can't find the posts or the links. Could any of you possibly re-post the links and contacts? I'm...

    Heads question

My Bad! The motor is a 340, std. bore, forged crank w/stock rods. Crank and rods are being balanced. It will almost certainly use a hydraulic cam; haven't decided whether or not to reuse the same cam (.450/.475-298/308 duration) but will most likely go for a new one. I'm interested in some of...

    Heads question

As I mentioned in the original post, they have been cc'd to give me a more "streetable" 11.5:1 CR. The pistons are TRW 13:1 when used with stock heads. Funny thing was, when I bought the car the motor had these pistons installed with STOCK J heads; I often wonder how the car managed to run on...

    Heads question

Thanks. Kinda what I thought, too, but some folks on the sight act as if the X heads are the Holy Grail. I wasn't sure if there were any casting differences besides the valves. Plus, if I put the X heads on, I'd be back to 13:1 compression, which is over the top for pump gas and composite head...

    Heads question

Here's the question at hand.... I've got 2 sets of heads; 1 set are the J heads with 1.88 intakes. These have been ported, polished, and cc'd to run about an 11.5:1 CR with the TRW 13:1 pistons I've got. The other set are high mileage stock X heads with 2.02 intakes. The X heads would require...

    Edelbrock 340 Torker intake?

That's what I was running on the car mentioned in my thread "Captainkirks's Duster Project".....and that's what's going back on to the next one. It ran like a scalded dog. I had no complaints.

    Valve lift limits

Makes me wonder if you'd hit the piston crown before the guide....... (not to mention the coil bind you told me not to mention....oh, wait...)
