Continuing clean up and repair from an engine fire over the summer. Down for the count at the moment after surgery last week then hoping to finish before spring.

Brought her home today. Long day to accomplish that and I need to tune the new carb because it’s running rich. But she’s home.

that color is one of my favorites, and when or if you do repaint it, you should definitely keep that color. Stands out in a good way. Had a 73 challenger that had a poor repaint and representation of that color. Drove me nuts cuz I love plumb crazy.

Got the back window in today, all exhaust finished, and got her fired up. HOPING to be all finished up and driving tomorrow afternoon. Wish me luck.

The V-eight badges, the posts broke off long ago. So just two sided tape and measured it out. The pentastar emblem still had the posts so just some two sided tape and put the posts in the holes

More assembly

Thanks! Used 1000 grit wet sand, then metal polish. Had to do a lot of metal polishing after the wet sanding.

And (almost)finished up the interior install. Rear view mirror and visors are all that’s left.

Starting reassembly on the front of the barracuda.

These 55 year old door sills are a real PITA to clean up. Front one is the untouched one and the back one is after a couple hours of wet sanding and then polishing by hand. Kill me now!

8k is what I paid. But I did a lot of work on the car during the process, and there were a number of custom mods that were done. So I don’t know how helpful that cost is.

Paint/wet sanding/buffing completed finally. Now on to assembly.

And got the grill roughed in.

My dad and uncles always had mopars. In 75 when I was born, my parents moved to the country and my dad sold his 1969 383 roadrunner to buy a lawn mower. After that, I remember playing in the Chrysler imperial that sat in our driveway forever. My real passion for them started in the mid 80’s...
