I was in Vegas over the long weekend, I was going to hit you up to see if you wanted help but figured you might be busy with the move. Glad you figured out your car!

Is the chassis grounded to the engine? Heat can cause higher resistance in wiring or connections. Look at bulk head connection again, maybe give the connector pins some dielectric grease. Try and tighten the pins there too.

Look closely at needle if something gets in there it won’t ever close. It’s common on Holley’s for them to stick. You can tap on the top of float with plastic handle of screw driver and it will sometimes unstick

Needle and seat could be stuck and not closing with float.

Are you running “green” bearings or tapered?

Axles might need to be trimmed at splined end. Measure the axles and the housing again. Just my thoughts

Bill, you might need to put shims under motor mounts to raise the engine a touch for more clearance to headers and oil pan.

That clip attaches to the sending unit. Uses it for a ground.

Let’s figure out what’s happening before you replace the whole fuel system. Try to get it back into failure mode today and try a few things. Maybe get a spare ecu to try today. If that’s not it, when it’s in failure mode get a squirt bottle of fuel and mist some into carburetor. See if it will...

Take the fuel cap off and see if it will start. Let it idle and see if it will die before getting back on road home. If it stays running with cap off, drive it home.

Do you have a spare ecu?

Ecu definitely could be suspect

Is your Fuel tank vented? Could it be vapor locked? Do you have a tight sealed fuel cap? Sorry for all the questions
