    Thanks, that’s exactly where I “borrowed” the idea from as well. The only downside to using the two bosses that I used is that it puts the tensioner right in the way of the heater core outlet on the magnum water pump. I’m not using it so I just tapped that hole and put a plug in it.

    I did almost the same thing as @fshd4it. Cut up the stock cast aluminum bracket and made my own tensioner bracket.

    The universal will run a magnum but you’ll have to do something for the crank trigger. There’s no setting for a 8x crank trigger. You can run a dual sync distributor or do what I did and run a 36-1 off the front of the balancer.

    The trickflow heads are LA pattern heads and have shaft rockers. Mancini has oil-through-pushrod shaft rockers as well. Supposedly they are made by Harland sharp.

    This is correct. Also, concerning the flex plate bolt holes not lining up, some converters like my FTC converter will have dual bolt patterns and one set lined right up.

    This is wrong, that balance plate is for an LA360 which is different than a Magnum 360.

    You need a flexplate for the 5.9 magnum, and a neutral balanced/non-weighted converter for a 727.

    The reason there’s no good compiled source for a magnum swap is because it’s not needed. Externally, it’s an LA small block with a serpentine setup and fuel injection.
