    Painting Wheels.....

If powder coating is out of the question, I'd say do everything possible to make sure the paint and primer have the best adhesion as possible. Clean and degrease the crap out of those wheels after you blast them. I'm sure you know this RRR. Best of luck.

    Jegs Wheel and Tire Kit...

I couldn't say because I don't have a duster, but if you wanted to get a better idea you could take off your wheel and measure the distance from the brake hub to the wheel opening and hub to suspension (or whatever will interfere first, could be frame).

    Here's a helpful pic.

    Jegs Wheel and Tire Kit...

Yupp, but don't forget to take into account the width of the wheel. A wider wheel with the same backspacing as a narrower wheel will sit the same distance from the suspension but the wider wheel will also occupy more space towards the fenders/quarters.

    Jegs Wheel and Tire Kit...

"Backspacing", meaning the distance between the mounting flange and the back of the wheel. This can also be expressed in "offset".

    Jegs Wheel and Tire Kit...

You can select the contents of the kit individually with the same wheels in 5x4.5 bolt pattern for the same price, FYI.

68 Val, time for new tires and maybe wheels.....

Nope, I didn't move he springs at all. The fronts are 17x8 with 0 offset. The rears are 17x9 with 33 offset. The fronts are a pretty standard 4.5" backspace and fitment, the rear is where I got real out there with the way I did it. 33 offset in 9" is 6.3" of backspacing, what car fits that I...

68 Val, time for new tires and maybe wheels.....

I agree with Woods74, especially if you want to set it up for handling. I got 225/40/17 on a 8" wide up front and I managed to stuff 275/40/17 on a 9" wide in the back.

Anyone using American racing torq thrust on 8-3/4?

Mine are 17x9 33 offset rear, 17x8 0 offset up front. So 6"+ in the back, 4.5" front.

Anyone using American racing torq thrust on 8-3/4?

In 15 it might be hard but once you move up from there most modern rwd vehicles are designed with higher offset numbers and there are plenty of aftermarket wheels companies that make wheels for them. My wheels are from a new edge mustang.

Viper wheels on my '69 Dart

I think it looks great, although I'd try and get slightly wider tires on the rear wheels.

    rear backspace seems off

Offset hangers fix that and give you more clearance!

    Now it`s DUB...

Not crazy about the cali lean look. Crank down the front some and it would look better in my opinion.

Wide Fronts on a 68 Dart

Thats brilliant! I'm going to have to remember that when I go wider in the front.

Search for user "tomswheels". He's got a Valiant with 18x10 all around IIRC.

Appropriate Wheel Offset for 18" Wheels?

Oops! Forgot to say stock 7-1/4 with 1.5" conversion spacers. No rubbing with the tired stock leafs, just put some hotchkis units in and haven't really pushed it yet. Normal street driving and no issues so far. No mods other than the spacers. I have to measure my hub-to-hub distance for an...

Appropriate Wheel Offset for 18" Wheels?

Spacers... where to start. The topic of spacers has come up multiple times on every auto forum I've been a part of and it is a very dividing one. My thoughts on them, run them if you have to and don't if you don't. I have them on the rear of my valiant for now because I can't justify spending...
