    68 Coronet inspect.

How would they know if your car came with a rear defogger? It was an option. And how many inspection places could read a fender tag for a '68 Coronet anyway? I think you are overthinking this, Richie... And whatever you do, don't take the car to Cambodian Tire!

    Plastic for cooling sucks.

Plastic items are cheap, fast, and easy to produce. It is all about bottom line to the manufacturers. And it only has to last until the warranty is over. E-Body door panels come to mind. Cheap and easy, but look lousy and don't last...

1969 Barracuda 383 Cold Case Radiator

I would just take the radiator to a welding shop that does aluminum Tig welding and have them move the fitting over and then patch the hole that it left. It would avoid wasted time and shipping charges etc. and have it back on the road pronto. Then try to back charge them for the repairs, I...

    Kinda weird temperature readings

I hate to tell you this, but your car is at the end of it's service life. It's time to take it to the scrap yard and buy a new Toyota. This is the only sensible solution to your problem. Or you can follow the advice already given (which is excellent), fix it for under 20 bucks, and keep it on...

    Heater core shot

Spectra is made in Quebec, not China. I installed a Spectra one in my Dart Sport, it took a little modification to the heater box, not a big deal, but a PITA nonetheless. It works great and it is just like the old one, not aluminum. As a matter of fact, i installed one of their gas tanks and...

    Heater core?

Same thing happened to me, check out my build thread, lots of pics in there. The old core was pressure tested before as well, but it still developed a leak a few days after i had the car running and driving. I changed the heater core, and now the car is problem free. It's not a bad job to do...

Fan blade on Dart broke today

I was thinking that the fan was slightly bent at one time, the water pump was bad, or the fan was just fatigued by constant high revs..... I'll bet your water pump is toast now too if it wasn't before. Yes, i agree that you were very lucky that it wasn't worse! Just thinking/typing out loud.........
