    Plasma Cutter Torch Tubing ??

Just a follow up here. Ordered the below tubing, enough for the next time. Tubing was an easy pull through the sheath using the wire I fed through previously. Getting it all back together was not difficult even though the handle is crowded. Up and runnin' again. Thanks again for...

    Plasma Cutter Torch Tubing ??

Been that route. Was expecting the HT to be the mfg. Nada. Several different brands show up. Nothing stood out as superior to me other than a "weld spatter" tube with two layers. The original is single. Lol, cha chang, chang, chang!! That's a last resort.

    Plasma Cutter Torch Tubing ??

Don't ya' love when you're cutting some steel and your machine craps out on ya'? I bought my Hobart 250 ci with internal compressor maybe 8 years ago. Worked fine up till a couple days ago. Finished a cut, tried to start another, no air. Internal filter clear and compressor both fine. That...

Smoke It If Ya' Feel The Need

The pesky P0456 showed up on my '05 Ram. Of course, it's not just a loose gas cap. Decided to make a handy dandy smoke tester based on U-boob videos available. About 2.3 ohms resistance with 24 ga TEMCo Nichrome 80 wire from Ebay. The canister is the largest from a set of three off Amazon...

    Table Saw

Some interesting stuff here... https://www.thesawguy.com/the-best-circular-saw-table/ Lol, here's something ya' won't see much of. Even though I have my old 10" MW table saw, I thought I'd try cutting my mini bar framing and top with this TrimTramp contraption. It actually worked just fine...

    Car Dollies Needed....Make or Buy??

The HF's I have will leave divots in my "dot" floor side of the garage. It's also harder to roll the car on them. I can only imagine what might happen on tiles at the joints.

    Car Dollies Needed....Make or Buy??

IMO, they sound good to me.....except for the plastic wheels. A smooth clean surface for them to ride on should be fine. I'd be concerned grit becomes embedded in the plastic on say a weld shop floor.

    Car Dollies Needed....Make or Buy??

FIW, I have the HF versions in the picture above your post. I halved the front pair as I felt they didn't need to be so wide. Kind of a PITA having to jack the car up to get 'em under the tires. May be nothing to it, but I feel these rounded ones create less distortion over the winter.

    Spot Welder?

FWIW, I wouldn't recommend the HF 120V. Although it does weld, mine tends to trip the 20-amp breaker in 5 or 6 welds and it's the only draw on it. Lol, kinda' slows things down a bit.

How many of you do woodworking / DYI stuff?

We know there's a ton on the net already. Not sure you'll see a huge continual turnout from mainly mechanics. Even though I do enjoy most DYI, I myself tend to be a project here a project there. As an example, my last DIY project, a mini bar for my mini basement, was from ideas found on a...

    Boot sole glue?

FWIW, I've had decent results with their contact cement. It is flexible. It's holding both toe areas to the leather uppers of an older pair I still like. I really bought it to add an inch and a half to floor tiles for the basement. The "holds in just seconds" claim I'd debate. ........

Press for Drum Bearing Races, Seals - What to Buy???

As far as a press goes, I did the HF 20 ton (and free flashlight:D) several years back. The smaller 12 ton just didn't trip the trigger. The 20's been fine. Skeptical on the quality of the included press plates as horror stories have been heard. Hard to see but I tacked on some casters to move...

    Spot weld cutter

The deal with those is they will walk all over on you. You can make them work fairly decent though IF you pre-drill a pilot hole and use cutting fluid. Otherwise buy the better tool from the get go. FWIW, I was able to get a pair of inner fenders apart using two of the cheap HF's. I destroyed...

Anyone know of an electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic floor jack?

I believe air bags can flatten out almost to the end plates as I recall from presses. I'd be careful with placement so the bag lifts in the center as opposed to the outer edge. The bags on this press have hardened points threaded into the loose side end plates. They bite into the plate they...

    QIICKJACK CAR LIFT ?

They have a 7500# model out now I do believe. BTW, when mine are stored they sit on a 2 X 4. It helps keep the bottom from rolling out and keeps flat spots from happening to the wheels.
