Been a long time. I think PM alloy powder can be pressed at about a 7.2-7.3 grams per cubic centimeter density after full sinter and draw with about 30Rc hardness. Steel is around 7.8 density. PM could very well leach thin liquid or dye as you are seeing, especially in the center of the pressed...

FWIW, Don't forget to check shipping on those Stealths. Add another 106 to that 1200 to my door. E-streets are 1520 shipped. Although probably just fine, I'm not sure I like PM valve seats.

On a street car with 2" Hookers even a 25.5" diameter will rub depending on road condition. A D78-14" was fine for general cruising. Rubbing issues occurred mainly on the passenger side on tight right turns, especially turning into an uphill driveway at a slow speed. I don't recall the driver...

FWIW, When I bought my MP Electronic Ignition Conversion" package for my 440, Koller Dodge said they were out of RB but the B conversion would work. It had a RB distributor and the spacer package include in it.....

You really trust the forecast? Why take the chance? Air won't crack the block. Drain it. Lot's of I/O boaters find out the hard way.

The cover was .032" thick BTW.

I just blocked off an old cracked (on both sides) CH4B with shims cut from a stainless outlet cover. A little too thick for the steel shim VP gasket so I recessed them into the intake.

Lol, I saw the short stock snubbers as the protection from the yoke coming through the rear tunnel when flying over those roller coaster hills out in the sticks! :D

I think there was also some concerns of axle tube twist when using the bars. For your "old school" guy memories, there were bars with shock plate mounts and J bolts .........
