    battery cap color

Old thread but if you don't want to pay up for a "real" Mopar repro, you can buy a kit to change any battery into an original clone, er, tribute. Dodge Battery kit - WESKCAR | Designer for Driver

Anyone know what the function is of the small condenser bolted to the ignition coil hold down clamp that's wired to the positive terminal of the coil?

    How to set breaker points?

OK, points did have grease on them and the timing chain is a new double true roller as I'd been told. I had the distributor out tonight and it appears perfect, points aren't burnt and the gap is at 0.013" which is a little tight but still within tolerance. So, I've eliminated the timing chain...

    How to set breaker points?

I'll have to take a closer look at the points as they came installed in the rebuilt distributor so I never thought to grease them. Thanks. :)

    How to set breaker points?

I'm in the west end, Merivale and Meadowlands. By Saturday afternoon, I may have the front of the engine apart though... I have a suspicion that I may have jumped a tooth on the timing chain and want to make 100% sure the engine got a new chain and gearset during the rebuild. Ah the perfect...

    The dreaded Click!

And the cause of the dreaded CLICK! was... wait for it... the battery to body ground!!! After I cleaned off more paint on the rad support and filed the lugs clean, it cranked right over! The best news? The engine fired for the first time since I installed it tonight!!! I won't be sleeping...

    The dreaded Click!

I checked before hand and they're the same... the V8 unit might have more juice but they're pretty much identical. Linkage is correct, park/neutral switch was swapped from the 904 onto the 727. All the grounds are connected although I will double check how clean the connections are...

    The dreaded Click!

Well I'm just finishing up my 225/904/7.25 to 360/727/8.75 swap and got to the point where I was going to crank her over for the first time. Hooked the battery up, checked the lights to determine battery strength (good!), put the key in and turned it to RUN. Everything AOK so far, turned it...

    Autometer tach wiring?

I got a nice Autometer Sport-Comp tach from a friend today but have no idea which wire gets connected to where. Anyone have a wiring diagram for a tach handy? Thanks!
