As others have said, bend the rod out close to the throttle bracket and extend the rod further closer to the carb stud. Then you’re geometry will good.

I doubt many other 4bbl kickdown rod threads have cracked 20 posts let alone 30. It’s really just a meter of the OP combing eBay and other sources to get that price or fab one as there’s a thread from a few years on that.

As others have suggested, consider bending the line yourself. I did that with mine and, although it took a couple of tries, it’s satisfying looking at it every time I open the hood and see it.

Are you looking for a near stock look and what’s your budget? That looks like an an early A (pre ‘67) so hood clearance could be an issue? I’m not sure on the early A’s but I didn’t have hood clearance issues with mine (LD4B, 1406 and 340 air cleaner).
