I run 235/60/14 all around on my 75 Scamp. I don’t think I could have gone wider on the front since the inner shoulder of the tire is less than a 1/4 inch away from the front sub frame rail when the wheel is cranked over.

The point is each jurisdiction has a limit whether it’s 10, 5 or something in between and it’s there for safety. Decades ago it was realized that seat belts were a great idea, for safety, as was the realization that drinking alcohol and driving wasn’t a great idea either.

It’s not a ‘70 Duster but it’s the same size tire as post #23 is running (235/60/14).

You raise some good points. I’ve used this website for the past decade or two for tire diameter, rpm and speed data (all calculated). Tire size calculator I’m running 235/60/14 BFG’s with a 3.23 (or 3.21 and I don’t recall which one it is for a 8 1/4) and it’s not screaming on the highway.

I agree, it’s a sharp colour combo!

I’d go with Rally’s but then I’m partial to them.
