    The crimp on the lugs are what hold it together. And the rust. Once you remove that crimp there is no locating the drum to the hub. I did one years ago, big problems. I would try to find out how to redo the crimp if you can.

    Yea those are the ones I put on my wagon, 10 vs the 9 that was on there. E-booger said they never made a finned 5 x 4 drum!

    What does the boot on the rod end of the master do?

    Thanks. I took the original cylinder retainer clip, spring, boot and gasket, cleaned them up and reused them on the new cylinder. There is no lip for the boot but it fits in the bore, the spring keeps it tight and it should work. Gona see what happens!

    I have a new dual circuit cylinder for my Lancer. It has no provision for a boot nor did one come with it. What is the purpose of the boot? Keep fluid out of the car if it leaks? Any one know?
