The Savage does have a cool rear spoiler though.

    Radio am to fm conversion

Instead of modding a stock AM radio, why not go vintage with an ubercool underdash like this Pioneer KP500.

WARNING - AMD oil filler caps

I'd bought a repro locking gas cap that fits under the flip-top for my Barracuda. I put it on, locked it & it promptly fell apart in my hands, leaving the key & lock in my hands and the rest in my fill tube. Took me the better part of an hour to get it back out.

Why a Jeep Owner Is Being Sued for a Mechanic's Death During a Dealership Oil Change

Maybe it makes too much sense, but shouldn't Manslaughter or at least Negligence Causing Death charges be laid against the driver who had no business behind the wheel of the Jeep?

    NEVER put a 750 on a 318........

I must have been lucky then. Not only was it complete & properly assembled, but it has a much crisper response than my old 4777.

    NEVER put a 750 on a 318........

I'm using a 750CFM C&S Aerosol Billet Carb on my 273. Goes like a scalded dog.

What cars did you pass on buying in the 60s/70s because they cost too much

In 1974 there were 3 cars, all at the same time, at the same dealership. A 60 Corvette, brown & tan, a 64 Avanti & a 60 T-Bird Hardtop black on black. All three were 3000.00. I ended up buying a 68 LTD fastback from another dealer across the road for 1800.00.

Install 68 Dart taillights in a 67 Dart? What needs to be done to make them fit?

I'm not fond of the 67 Dart taillights either, so I say go for it! I didn't like the 67 Barracuda grilles so I replaced them with the 68 grilles. Up till now, no one's even noticed.

Maybe the saddest M-Code Cuda you will ever come across

Don't forget that that in '69 these were nothing more than factory dragrace cars. How many Hemi Darts & Cudas didn't get beat to death? I would think many if not most of these highly treasured cars didn't look much better than the one pictured before restoration.

    Paint Color Change

Those were the important words. Don't worry about the value, you're not planning on selling it. Why would you not want to be happy with your car. Paint the car any color you want.

all I have to say is when buying an old car dont trust anyone about its history

Back in the mid 70's, I worked briefly at a used muscle car dealership. Badging, decals & an engine swap turned a Lemans into a Judge. A 383 column shift, bench seat 70 Barracuda was hemified, rebadged & advertised as "Extremely rare bench seat Hemi 'Cuda". The guys who owned this dealership...

What do you guys think of this price

Having a hard time with that price. 12-15 grand seems more appropriate.

What do you guys think of this price

In S.Dakota do you need a safety inspection to register a car? If so you'll need to put the windshield washer bottle & pump back.

    Remember your first Mopar ?

In 1975 I had just turned 18. I got a loan from the bank, (Boy, did I think that was cool) & bought my first Mopar, a 65 Barracuda Formula S, in off white with green & gold metalflake and a red bucket seat interior. Wow this was so neat, no more 4dr Fords. It had the 273 Commando, automatic...

    Shipping something to Canada

I live "up there" in Canada. To all my American FABO friends, Please use USPS whenever possible. UPS & FEDEX etc. charge $14 & up just for brokerage fees. I learned my lesson the hard way. Several years ago I bought a book for $10, shipping was 6 or 7 dollars. UPS tried to soak me for $14...

USA MADE PARTS? HANG ON TO WHAT YOU HAVE!

"It's nobody's fault but our own. Everybody wants it cheap as they can get it. I hear it everyday. "What's the cheapest brake pads yall got?" "You ain't got none cheaper?" The Chinese have the ability to make good parts just like anyone else. What it comes down to is that they will make parts...

It's just so tempting to mod it.

I just threw up in my mouth. I think the seller needs to drop a couple of zeroes, $78.00 seems more like it. No, wait, I changed my mind. He needs to pay me 7800.00 to take this rolling turd.

    Interesting article

You didn't read the article right. Stock 396 doesn't make 500HP. Stock 307 makes 500HP at 17000 RPM.

    Interesting article

They tried to make it a fair test, or did they? If you read the article without reading the spec sheets you'd never know that the best accelerating cars [Firebird & Barracuda] had 3.55 gears & the much slower Camaro had 3.07.
