    Hooker,doug's,TTI?

I had Doug's on my 65 Barracuda, with a 318 and later on a 360, I used a mini starter, no clearance problems . Had had them on and off several times. I recommend you do what you have to to make sure the slip joints do not oxidize and stick themselves together, because they will over time.

How much different are they, really ?

It can be done, an acquaintance with a /6 65 Dart GT sliced and diced a 6 into 1 ( 6 tubes into 1 collector ) to fit, don't remember what brand he started with, though I know it was not Clifford, they are 6 into 2, it was a drag car. As far as making your own, it might not be as large an...

Rear axle help needed by total newbie - 64 Valiant

In 1964, Mother Mopar used 2 different rear ends, one is the 7 1/4 used under "A" body cars; which you have; to remove the drum back the adjuster star wheel to create slack so the drum can slide over the shoes. Also as stated the drum is stuck to the axle flange with rust and as stated use lots...

    Adjust valves

With all this banter on how to lash valves, makes me wonder how a dealer service tech; who probably did not have degree wheels, charts; lashed the valves on a 273 in for service. ECIO, EOIC is a process pretty hard to mess up, work down one bank then do the other, you are not doing this flat...

    Ladder bars

You could call S & W, or one of the other chassis shops, who make them or custom make them your self..........length, I would guess, would be dependent on where you establish anchorage points, desired wheel base, rear end housing Others may know more

    273 commando heads vs. standard

One is a 1966 model year head ( 2536178 ) and the other ( 2658920 ) is a 1967 model year head; they both cc out the same, 57 to 64.5, valve size is the same at 1.75 intake, 1.5 exhaust, there is no real difference. Reference "How to Hot Rod Small Block Mopar Engines" by Larry Shepard

Change out your rear wheel cylinders, get a set of 7/8 inch brake cylinders. Might also try an adjustable proportioning valve installed in the line going to the rear brakes.

    65 Barracuda 8 3/4 Rear help

As already stated, it will bolt right into your 67 no problem with the correct shock plates and "U" bolts. Yes to putting a sure-grip into the chuck, cone or clutch will work; if you get a used cone style, check it or have it checked over carefully, they are not easily rebuilt. Axel bearings...

    65 Barracuda headers

Headers for early "A" bodies are limited.........as already mentioned there are TTi's, there is also Doug's "D"-Dart headers, and there are shorty Tri Y's from Laysons......none of these are cheep. I have a set of "D"-Dart headers, I like them, they work well. What ever you do, good luck.

Best way to transport a 64-66 Barracuda back glass

Eastwood also sells glass polish; never used it, but it is another source to consider; OR....go to lumber store buy some 2x4's make a rack that supports the glass in a curve up position (same orientation as in the car). The wood will dampen shock transfer to the glass. It's an idea.

    65 barracuda vibration

    Early A Headman headers

Your choices for under chassis headers for an early "A" are Doug's (have a set and like them ) or TTi's (also have a set but haven't run them yet ). Dougs # D454 Early A body headers 65 Valiant (Need opinions)

Question: are you changing out your "K" member for an Alterkation?? If YES, then D454's; if NO then D450 D-Dart. It's not like there are lots of choices. Another question: is the car an original V8 car, or was it originally a /6 car with a transplant? If original V8, OK; if was /6 with...

Dougs # D454 Early A body headers 65 Valiant (Need opinions)

BIG question.........are you installing an Alterkation "K" member?? Per Summits listing, the D454's are for early 'A' with Alterkation "K" member; the D450's headers are the D-Dart headers.....BIG difference between the 2! Don't know a thing about the D454's; have a set of the D-Dart 450's, I...
