What to do with old 9 inch drums?

Put them up high, where she can't reach them. For added insurance, sit a few rubber mice from a novelty store near them!

    9 1/4 brakes on an 8 3/4 housing

Thanks Garrett. I'll double check all that before I go to the expense of new axle bearings on the XL bolt pattern axles. The truck will likely be next winters project, so I'm trying to get all the ducks lined up and quacking beforehand! Hey...next time you're at your buddy's place with all the...

    9 1/4 brakes on an 8 3/4 housing

Will 9 1/4 rear end brakes from an 88 D100 work on an 8 3/4 truck housing? I know I will probably have to drill the bottom hole in the backing plates, but is the offset on the 9 1/4 backing plates going to work with the 8 3/4 axles? I have the correct 8 3/4 axles for the XL bolt pattern on the...

    Spindle bearing spacer

It's not the same function, but the one below is the only Mopar spacer I know of. It allows you to use 73 and up one piece rotors on 70-72 B&E disc brake spindles. '70 - '72 Mopar B/E-Body Disc Brake Spindle Sleaves (doctordiff.com)

Correct Disc Brake Caliper for 68’ Dart

Did you check the calipers as Jim suggested above? In post #4, your bleeder screw is on the bottom. If they aren't now both at the top, you will never get the brakes bled.

'65 Formula S always have 10" inch drums on front or some had 9"?

My 65 Barracuda 273/235 4 bbl car had 9" drums from the factory. I bought a pair of 10" drum spindles, and will be installing Wilwood disc's on it!

Right front caliper froze up - recurring problem

I just went thru the same thing last month with my wife's Saturn Vue. Left front brake was sticking, so I replaced both calipers. Day before yesterday, it did it again. I replaced both brake hoses yesterday, and the drivers side was stopped completely up. Next question is, why can't women follow...

    Disc brakes

A disc brake master cylinder has different valving (is that a word?) than a drum master cylinder. If your drum master cylinder is good, you can get away with performing a little change to it, and using it until the end of it's life. This may be hard to visualize without pics, but it's not hard...

    Lightweight brake options

Dang....I put the thinnest wore out rotors I had on that thing before I sold it to you! That shoulda saved a little weight. :D Have you checked with Dr. Diff ? He has all kinds of brake kits. Also AndyF used to make some caliper brackets to mount Viper calipers on stock spindles and 11.75...

Pin on calipers vs 72 Duster lower control arms

Here's the way I do it. I use 73 and up A or E body spindles, and mount the calipers towards the front. I usually swap to the 11.75 rotors, and because I too prefer pin type calipers, I use caliper brackets from a Cordoba/Magnum/etc. I buy calipers for a 73-74 E body, and hoses to match. The...
