A guy is interested in buying just my 5.7 Hemi to go in a truck. If he does, I will have a spool mount K frame with TTI mounts and new in the box TTI headers for that K frame. I customized the drivers side mount to where it allows the AC compressor on a car motor to work in its stock location...

Are you gonna run a manual valve body in the 727 so you don't have to fool with kickdown linkage? I believe I'd mini tub that sucker to get a bigger tire under it. Traction is probably gonna be in short supply....lol.

Since that link was posted...it has come to light that Swap Specialties just takes your money and doesn't know you afterwards! Do a search on here about Swap Specialties....and buyer beware!

I'd start with Bouchillon, and talk to Randy. They have always had good customer service, and may know what it is. One of the sensors may be bad around the throttle body, MAF, TPS, etc. Good luck...and you have a nice Cuda!

You might call Holley and see if you need to do anything at all? The Sniper system uses the LS throttle body anyway, so surely to goodness they have all of the electrical stuff figured out already.

Keeping the 70 Duster, just selling the Hemi stuff to go another way.

TTI will tell you right up front, that the AC compressor from a Gen III Hemi out of a car will not fit with those mounts. I bought the headers and mounts from TTI, and they work great. I hacked up the drivers side motor mount and reworked it so that the AC compressor would fit in the stock...

Bouchillon Performance in Hanahan, SC is also a good place to purchase Gen III swap stuff. I was all excited to buy a harness from Swap Specialties, and drug my feet long enough that I found out how sorry they are before doing so! Hope you get it fixed soon.

And a long bed to boot! Nice looking truck, and I bet it runs good with the 6.4 in it. The Crown Vic swaps into those trucks are slick as a whistle! They fit those trucks better than the Crown Vic they came out of....lol. How quick does that big ol thing go...

Grind a little clearance in the frame if it's as close as it looks. I did that when I put a set of Hedman Tork Step headers for a 4WD in a 2WD D350 once. Worked like a charm, and didn't hurt a thing.

In A bodies, I think after 1965....a center link was a center link, no matter what motor. I used a Milodon pan to put a 5.7 Hemi into a 70 Duster. I used a 73 and up V8 spool mount k frame, and there was plenty of clearance between the pan and center link.

Mostly the price of the wiring harness and ECM.

I've also fallen out of love with the whole Gen III swap thing....and I'm getting ready to sell the whole glomeration of Gen III stuff and just put a 340 and 4 speed in the Duster like I planned to start with! :realcrazy:

It all fits if you stand and scratch your head long enough! 5.7 car Hemi in a 70 Duster with a V8 spool mount k frame. I cut the TTI drivers side mount apart, moved the spool saddle back on the k frame....and there's room for headers, AC compressor, and probably a Borgeson PS box.

If Mr. Squirrel painter doesn't get to work on your Demon soon.......walk in one day on your way home from the range job, with an open carry piece strapped on your side. That might get his attention! :eek:

If you haven't bought a motor yet, I'm gonna sell mine and all the swap stuff to go with it. 2006 5.7 with 6K miles, Moroso pan and pickup already installed. TTI headers and motor mounts. Modified spool mount k member and drivers side mount so the 5.7 AC compressor can stay in its factory...
