Opinions on a new dash bezel

At first, I thought the price on the Classic Industries piece was a punch in the face. Looking at the part, I am hard pressed to criticize it. Duplicating something of that detail cannot be easy or cheap.

This is probably pretty minor, but have you ever seen one of these?

Minor or not, it is interesting. Stuff like this really revved up guys like Steve Juliano. He had all sorts of dealer promotional stuff. I would have LOVED to stroll through his warehouse.

Can i use these 70 charger seats

If you're a car guy, you'll find a way to modify almost any seat track to fit your car. I've modified numerous seats to fit into cars that they weren't designed for. That is part of building a car your way. Corbeau seats are one that I've considered that are supposed to have compatible seat...

Can i use these 70 charger seats

The 1970 Charger seats seem to show up in sales ads for a LOT of money. If originality isn't that important, you could sell these, buy aftermarket seats that weigh less, offer more support and cost a lot less.

Has anyone installed more modern bucket seats in their A Body??

This may be way off but.... I bought non power reclining bucket seats from an '85 Camaro and had them recovered to resemble 1973 style seats for my FrankenDuster....

Seat upholstery sources for a 72 Duster

My 72 Duster is painted, mechanically sound and almost ready to drive regularly but the interior needs to be done. I have door panels but will need carpet, seat upholstery and a headliner. In the past, I have used Year One or Classic Industries for this stuff. Are they still a decent company to...

I am out of the loop as to local shops for that.

    Sill Trim Finish

I thought that all the aluminum trim had some type of coating. I may have some decent used ones. I can look in the attic.

I'm going to install my first headliner 1965 Dart

It is almost 2 years later and the wrinkles are mostly gone. Actually, they went away during the Summer after the install.

Seatbelt question: What year required shoulder belts?

My meme was deleted based on "Political" content. Questioning the motives of the Police is NOT political, people. It should not have been deleted. This is so ironic that I post a meme about heavy handed Police motives and a MODERATOR deletes it. This isn't right or fair.

How do you identify seat tracks?

I'm helping an older guy clear out his parts inventory and have all sorts of stuff that I am not 100% familiar with. Lots of slant six stuff, '60-62 Valiant stuff and among the parts, I opened 2 boxes of seat tracks. This guy currently has a '68 Barracuda and a '64 Dart so some of the parts are...

I'm going to install my first headliner 1965 Dart

Holy crap, paralyzed ?? Sort of ruins my excuses for not doing it! For me, I probably just needed a few more pointers or someone with experience to guide me through it.

I'm going to install my first headliner 1965 Dart

Yeah, this is a job that just sucks. I try to do everything on my cars except machine work and alignments but I'm probably going to add HEADLINERS to the list.

    64 Valiant Headliner

My Dart had small hooks at the back end so I had to start there. My main mistake was the sleeves that the bows slip into. I didn't cut them back enough and the fabric bunched up at the curves.

    64 Valiant Headliner

I did the headliner in my 65 Dart. It was my first one and I did a "fair" job. I had wrinkles in it....most flattened out but some remained. I had pictures of the headliner somewhere but can't find them...Sorry.

Are rear seats interchangable on all A-bodies?

This topic has me curious. I've messed around with 67 and later A body cars and have only noticed that the bottom sections are different. Maybe I have been just lucky but I thought that every upper section has appeared to be the same in terms of size and fitment....2 door, 4 door, Sedan or...

    ABS headliners

On a guess, I'd say yes....If one was made for a Scamp, it may work for a Valiant post car. The Duster/Demon/Dart Sport roof design is narrower and shaped differently. I don't know of the ABS headliner is offered for the 72-76 Dart/Valiant models though.

    ABS headliners

No. The windshield gasket is just pulled back and the headliner is placed under it. In some cases, the headliner material may need to be trimmed a little. I have done 4 and all of them had the glass in place.

I'm going to install my first headliner 1965 Dart

It is just frustrating. That and uncomfortable. Building engines, you are looking down, leaning down. Body and paint, you are leaning, kneeling, standing. Suspension and brakes, I am standing, at least I am now since I bought the car lift. Looking up the whole time, my neck is sore. With the...

I'm going to install my first headliner 1965 Dart

This sucks ***. I am having a hell of a time with this friggin car. I would really like to know how assembly line workers did these in any reasonable time. It boggles my mind to think that they could have even spent 2 hours installing one. I was out there 2 hours today, maybe more. I already had...

I'm going to install my first headliner 1965 Dart

I found that it is proper procedure to install the bows from the rear then to the front. There are these small wires that are attached to the body above the rear window. These hook onto the rearmost steel bow. From there I installed each bow in order and pulled as tight as I could. I tried...

This sucks! Working with my hands overhead....No wonder people farm this stuff out. My bows seem to be fatigued. I'm guessing that they are supposed to rest against the underside of the roof skin? I have had to pull stuff back out and rebend them a couple of times. I'm also guessing that they...

How to sanitize interior after long-term rodent intrusion?

What??? There had to be more to it than that. Maybe they ignored their symptoms, maybe they had some crazy religious "God will heal me" beliefs and never went to a doctor?

I'm going to install my first headliner 1965 Dart

I used some thick jute padding with some foil backing. 3M spray adhesive to hold it in place. This stuff was hard to cut! The razor blade barely made it. Cutting with scissors was a difficult task too. This stuff is easily 5/16" thick. It seems like it would be really good at sound...
