I was told she was 18.

Some cars that look like other cars...

No kidding. I saw a group image of compact SUVs, some call them crossovers. Every model from Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Kia, Chevrolet, Dodge, Mazda and several others ALL in white. I absolutely could not tell them apart. They looked just like a group of refrigerators all lined up.

Some cars that look like other cars...

When I was a kid, my Dad used to comment how some cars on the road looked like other cars from other manufacturers. I'm sure you have noticed that too. Some say that the Duster, Demon and Dart Sport look like a 68-72 Nova. The recessed rear window in a 68-70 Charger looks like the rear window in...

Anyone here with a dog that has had a TPLO procedure?

You all should consider pet insurance. The Wife and I use Trupanion. Check it out. It has paid for itself in our case.

Anyone here with a dog that has had a TPLO procedure?

We had a yellow lab that had two bad knees, one worse than the other. We didn't have the cash to spend the $6000 to do the TPLO so we went the cheaper route.....and about a year later it failed and damaged his leg worse than it was before. We had to have his leg amputated.

Ebay water pump does $1000 in damage.

Some people don't know this, but.... EBAY SELLS NOTHING. THEY MAKE NOTHING. They are just a site that allows vendors to get a broader audience to sell their products. EBay isn't the one to blame, it is the vendor and manufacturer of the product.

    NEW Road House Movie.

I thought it was okay. Very typical Hollywood in some ways. It ran parallel to the original in some ways yet deviated in others. I think some people elevate the original as if it were some masterpiece. It was not. It was a cheesy action movie that was cheap fun for a couple of hours. The actors...

    NEW Road House Movie.

Uhhhh...It wasn't Jake Gyllenhall in the Spiderman movies. It was Tobey Maguire.

I like the original so much. " I don't want to even give the new one a try."

Hard to reach rust quarter panel

Many forum members are polite. I was SO tempted to unload on this guy. This has to be either a guy playing a joke or someone that is really confused.

Does anybody else have trouble doing posts with their cell phone?

My biggest trouble is typos. I hate going back and seeing that I spelled or wrote something wrong. I'm a harsh critic of writing skills so when I see that I (or the phone) spelled something wrong, I correct it immediately. I do make mistakes when posting from the computer but not nearly as many...

I go in for tire repair and the man asks about my windshield wipers....?

When I used to go to places after work, I looked dirty and obviously capable of working on stuff myself. Now that I'm clean and well dressed most of the time, I probably look like an office guy that pays everyone to fix my stuff.

I go in for tire repair and the man asks about my windshield wipers....?

Is this something new? I know that the Bureau of Automotive Repair places weird restrictions and practices on repair shops. Several years ago, I read they required all shops to do a tire pressure check even if they were in for something completely UNrelated to the tires. Is that happening here...

Jumper cables? Nah....there is a newer better solution.

I wanted something to take along on road trips and to boost a car here in the backyard that is not dead but just below the point of cranking over. I was surprised years ago when I saw this chart: Until I read this, I was under the impression that battery voltage and percentage was...

Jumper cables? Nah....there is a newer better solution.

Thanks for the advice to those that offered it. I decided to give this one a try: Here we go. This is compact enough to sit almost anywhere and not weigh 50 lbs. Looks simple. If all fails, there are directions. Charging port on one end, jumper cable ports on the other. Common...

I do. It is who I have always been. It used to worry my mom that I'd stop to help people but the wife knows it is who I am.

Jumper cables? Nah....there is a newer better solution.

I read on Mopar Action awhile back about these new battery jumper boxes: These are interesting. I like the idea of having something lightweight and compact to bring with any vehicle I'm taking on road trips. No need for getting help from someone else for a jump start if you accidently...

NOT MINE: Looking for junkyard front disc brakes? Northern CA.....

I like the Thermoquads. I pulled one last month from this same yard, off of a 76 Van with a 440.

NOT MINE: Looking for junkyard front disc brakes? Northern CA.....

I was at the yard to get something for the Wife's Honda....rats or mice chewed a wire to one of the fuel injectors. I walked the Mopars since I was there anyway. I didn't take anything from the Chrysler. I have 3 sets of disc Knuckles already. If the rear axle had a 3.21 gear, I would have...

NOT MINE: Looking for junkyard front disc brakes? Northern CA.....

I saw this complete car at the Pick-N-Pull in Rocklin, CA. 1980 Chrysler Cordoba. Ever see this engine code? E 46? Yeah. 318 4 barrel. Did you see the base timing setting? That is what we often set the timing in engines with big cams! Not a lean burn but it did have some weird...

    Beware new member "Prints Valiant"

Same here. I've bought and sold stuff here and sold stuff through FBBO. Never a bad transaction. Just once, a guy bought a brake booster from me that turned out to be the same as the incorrect one that he had so I refunded the money and he sent it back. Communication really matters, people. Make...

They said it wouldn't work, you did it anyway. How did that work out for you?

I started this thread thinking that maybe I’d read a response that might trigger a memory of something I did that I forgot. I’m a bit disappointed that I can’t recall many stupid things I was advised against. I feel like I missed out on some wild times to laugh about.

Wow. Have you noticed the HUGE amount of stuff for sale here lately?

One thing I do like at this site is the ease to IGNORE the sales ads if you want. If I’m wanting to scroll through the thread lists, sometimes the ads take up half the page. Again, this is excellent for those on the hunt for parts. Otherwise, they can clutter up the page and the option to hide...
