    Undercoating removal

That is a new one, never heard of that. Sounds like it works great. I do believe though that you can use a propane torch and putty knife and have it done in a few hours.

    Undercoating removal

Propane torch and a putty knife, it comes off like butter. Pressure washer? It better be a SUPER Heavy duty one or it wont do anything. I tried that when I first got my 67, no go on the standard home style pressure washer on a CA Car anyway. East coast car where it is half coming off already...

$600 to sand/soda blast eng compartment and underside?

If its factory undercoat it may be a problem them trying to take it all off with blasting. You can use a propane torch and a puffy knife, it comes off like butter. I just had my car looked at by my good friend that owns a mobile blasting business. He told me straight out to get most of the...

    why is my welding inconsistent?

I have no problems doing it either way. If a guy is just starting out on a "Mig" like you are saying they most likely will be able to see better and control the puddle better. Yes it is true you can get a solid structural weld either way.
  17. Mad Dart

    why is my welding inconsistent?

You should not be pushing a weld puddle with a MIG unless you absolutely need to because of a cramped area or something. You should be PULLING the weld. For example start the weld on your left and end on your right. The reason I say this is if you are Pushing the weld and have your tip at a 30*...

    Tubbing the Valiant

I don't know about Canada but pre meditated revenge in the U.S is not a good thing. Lets say you drop the guy and he hits his head on something and Die's. Here in the States that is Pre meditated murder etc. 30 years in the Klink at least. Call the police if the guy still has it have him...

When is it good to Sand/ Media blast your car?

My car has no rust either except a bit of surface rust in the trunk and a just a tiny bit of surface rust on the standard area of the passenger floor pan inside the car. 15 Minutes with a wire wheel and some POR15 will take care of it. I would rather spend that extra $$ on the getting the body...

I hate to see you cutting into your finished product. Was some of this an after thought? The Trans Tunnel and the Supercharger were not mocked up before it went to paint? Those Orange Wheels are for mock up? I'm confused.

    Tubbing the Valiant

Nice work! I should have back halved my car cause of all the work involved in the Mini tub and Triangulated 4 Link. I really think I could have done the complete back halve in the same amount of time. Your car is going to be sweet when it is done. I don't believe I have ever seen a Valiant done...

Windshield locking strips fro 1967 Dart

You are looking for the F Trim that gets finished on the corners with Stainless. You need a roll or 4 pieces of it.

Windshield locking strips fro 1967 Dart

I looked all over for the F Trim and could not find it. I bought the 68/69 Clips and Stainless Trim to convert it over. It will match the Stainless trim on the rest of the car instead of being Plastic.

Thanks! I was just told by my buddy's that are helping bend the cage that IF you have a bend in the bar that goes thru the dash you will need to have a gusset in it to be certified. Does yours have a gusset under the dash to the bar that goes thru the Dash Board/Pad?
