Moving Rear back or Cut front part of wheel well

The tire will fit. Getting it to sit low is a whole different story. You might get down over the tire a little bit but that is about all. The body will hit the ground before the quarter opening goes down over the wheel/rim is what I am getting at. Post #14 is proof of that. There is almost the...

Moving Rear back or Cut front part of wheel well

Your axle might hit the frame rails before it actually happens. Going over the tire a little bit like a couple inches I would say yes but trying to bury any part of the wheel might not happen unless you 4 link & full tubs. Look at member rgreule's car. Leaf springs with a Hemidenny K frame...

Moving Rear back or Cut front part of wheel well

A Duster will never sit down low like a Dart/Scamp does over the tire. The rear quarters are cut higher so getting the tire to tuck up in there will be a cut chop rebuild project for sure. Mine now is Ladder Bar. Moved back about 3/4" from stock. Fuel cell in trunk etc. 315/60/15's ET...

    front tires hitting

If the car was rolled backwards and then the picture was taken that is why the Caster looks so far off. It probably is not as bad as it looks. Is the Engine in the car??

**Summit Fast 5 vs Jegs Sport Star**

Thanks, I will check it out. My front brakes are Cordoba 11.75 Rotors and Wilwood Dynalite calipers. Think I will be Ok but I will check to make sure. Going to run a 15x4 with 1.625 or 1.75 back space depending on the wheel.

**Summit Fast 5 vs Jegs Sport Star**

Rear brakes are a 12.19" GM Rotor set up and GM Calipers that have the parking brake provision. A little under 13" in the clear would do it. If I had to grind anything I would hit the caliper instead then just paint them. These BARELY Clear my steelie wheels. 15x10 with 5.5 back space.

Thanks for the measurements. You did WAY better than Jegs tech line just did. They told me I don't think they will work.......

**Summit Fast 5 vs Jegs Sport Star**

I also was thinking Billet Specialties....... My car is a street strip deal and not an all out Race machine. Full interior, 14pt cage etc. It will see the track but it will not live there.

**Summit Fast 5 vs Jegs Sport Star**

Yes I seen that they are cast and dont use a shank style lug. Do you see guys at the track running these wheels? I have seen guys running the welds in the rear and the Jegs or Summits upfront. It is hard to tell them apart if they are kept up on the polishing. Maybe I should do the...

**Summit Fast 5 vs Jegs Sport Star**

I know these wheels are a knock off of the Weld Pro Stars but I have a few questions. Looks like the Jegs and Summit versions are exactly the same and may be built by the same manufacturer. Does anyone have these wheels on their cars? Will the drop down center allow for a Disc brake set up on...

    Wheels Ever Fail?

Back to your original question "Wheels ever Fail". Like stated earlier you will not need to worry about breaking them. Your 18" Wheels and Tires will NEVER EVER hook up on the street or the track, I don't care how much power you have so don't worry about it. It is when you Hook under power that...

    Wheels Ever Fail?

Yup them wheels are not very appealing! Running 18's in the rear your never going to hook it up so they would never break. Carry on.

Mine will go all the way down and put the lip of the rim under the wheel well at least a few inches. All I have to do is lower the bottom shock mount to the lower hole in the bracket. I still have about 2.5"" in the clear on the inner tub.

Yes there is alot more room in the Duster. The Dart there is no room for error fitting this size tire.

For some reason your tires look way bigger/wider than 325/50/15's, those look like steam rollers!

I have almost 1" in the clear on each side and my wheel lips are stock, "not rolled". Haven't drove the car yet but I know they will not hit.

If you set your rear end up around the wheel tire combo, you will be fine, tight but fine.
