PRW Stainless 1.6's on my small block. Solid Rolller .640 lift at the valve. I revv the dog **** out of it too on the Juice. They have seen 7200+ Rpm , clean and never missed a beat. They hold the valve adjustment very good as well. I drive this car everywhere.... Hundreds of miles in 1 outing...

With all the things going on with this engine it would be interesting to do a tear down to see IF Sherman actually used any of the parts on the build sheet. I would tend to think that he did not.

Yeah, when I said only way out .... I should have said without a complete tear down & re ring. Pretty sure he was on the way to the vac pump before my post. This engine will make 800hp +, a VAc pump is still a good idea. Sherman usually runs the GZ pumps on most of his high HP builds.

I installed their VP104 Pump kit on my small block a few months ago. It works well but it was not a bolt on deal. I had to customize, cut, chop & rebuild the mandrel and pump bracket. You can see the install in my Scamp thread in my signature if you want for reference.

We talked about this in one of your other threads and I was asking if the converter was anti ballooning. I guess it don't matter if the snout is too damn long. You must have had a pretty big gap from the Flex Plate to the converter bolting it up. More than a 1/4" gap that it is supposed to have...

Vacuum leaks, check timing and then adjust the carb and in that order!

What fuel? No intercooler correct? With a water injection kit it will make plenty more. Get them intake air temps under control and you can run more aggressive timing = More Boost = More Power.
