I just balanced a setup a week or so ago. The lightest in the set was 519.5 grams big end, 228 grams small end. This set was very close in weight across all eight rods. In fact, all the magnum rods I have done have been very close.

Well, It was driving me crazy that I couldn't remember the # so I went out and looked in an old catalog. Old CarQuest # 527, it crosses to Moog #347

I forget too, but when I worked in a Car Quest store in the 80s their part# was either 427 or 527. I can't remember which.

If I could get paid for all the time I spend looking for good deals, I would never have to work again.

We ended up using lunati dual springs, but Matt's cam is .560 lift. Took a bit of time to find what we needed with the mag's short installed height. The springs we bought were for a Pontiac.

Matt bought a set of their retainers for his magnum, but I found their source for stainless valves and bought them a good bit cheaper.
