    Dougs D-453

I'm surprised they haven't updated the applications on those. Doug was in on the development on those headers and he didn't miss much. From what I remember, it was either the idler or pitman arm that got worrisome on the spool mount cars, but it's been a while and I could be misremembering. Man...

    Carbon Monoxide

You could extend the tail pipes a bit more... Sorry, I couldn't resist. Seriously though, where do your tips end at? If they are still really close to the end of valance, you could still be pulling fumes under the car.

    plugged exhaust?

I know this will sound stupid, but did you change the fuel filter when you put the carb on? Is it on the right way? (Don't ask how I know). How old is your NOS carb? Is it possible that the jets are clogged and it will run on the idle/transition circuit but not through the main?

    Open headers vrs. full exhaust

Consider your exhaust system as a part of your tuning. If you run open headers or have too LARGE of a system, you could take the bottom end torque out of your motor and actually run slower....... (Seen it)

Are tti headers worth the cost?

OK, gotta chime in here. Sure TTI's are pricey. I have installed several of them on different customer vehicles. I have never had a problem with any of the installs or the fit either. Their exhaust systems are truly remarkable. (I have installed other companies prefabbed systems, none fit or...
