What size brakes does it have? How about the torsion bars? Did you look for the torque boxes?

Look for the bigger torsion bars ending in 892/893. What is the fifth letter on the vin...E? 8 3/4 rear, is the frame re inforced. Look for holes in the front fenders just in front of the doors for the badges.

I cleaned my AFB in a 50/50 solution of pinesol and water. It came out like new. Don't leave it in too long though!

Those are truck mounts, but the mounts to adapt that engine correctly to that body are '63-66 A-Body S6 or V8 to 273/318 or 340/360 Replacement or Upgrade Kit one is slightly offset. I bought a 89 360 with truck mounts, almost the same as yours but the drivers side isn't as wide.

I'd use the 833 four speed and a Quicktime bell housing. You'll spend some time and money getting the electronics for the motor so keep the rest old school. The newer trans require surgery on the trans tunnel. Keep it as simple as you can!!!!!!

It will be a little expensive compared to a small block. What do you want to use for the transmission? It has been done successfully.

Have you run it with the valve covers off? I had a tick on 6 & 8 when the car warmed up on my new 360. The adjustable rocker arms just touched the valve covers when warm. Look for marks on the baffles. My PVC pickup was over 6 and 8.

I fired up the new 360 today, it took right off! I have to fix some exhaust leaks, and one water leak at the intake heater hose. It idles nice at 28 lbs of oil pressure, 15 inches of vacuum and holds 195* temperature. I'll probably tweak the valve adjustments and take it out for a short drive...

The brackets look like mopar A body and the general shape are mid 70's. I wonder if they have been custom covered, the covers are almost stock looking. 74-76?
