Would the later (67-75) 318 exhaust manifolds work on that head without any interference? I would try them with the 318 Y pipe. I think Pypes also offered custom header pipes, you need to tell them the manifold casting numbers. Good luck.

If you try it, grab the manifolds too. It might work!! You'll need the manifolds to get the Ypipe connections correct.

It works well on my 67, they will flow better. Are you replaacing the whole exhaust too?

You create a restriction, not a good idea. It will work though. Why not find a set of 74 360 exhaust manifolds?

I have the X pipe and have one word of caution, be careful with your muffler choice!!! I have a drone around 1500-2000 rpm. It can be corrected by changing the mufflers and thats my plan this winter. I do like the X pipe, the one I used is from Summit.
