    Front End Rebuild Kits

I think the single piston started on the 73 and up cars. If it's bone stock I would think it's a 4 piston Kelsey Hayes setup.

    Front End Rebuild Kits

Any of the above will do fine. I bought my parts over the winter while I refurbed the Kframe. I had some problems with the new Idler arm, it was sloppy! I'd tighten the bolt and it would be fine for a bit and then the play was back. Pulled it out and the bushings we're fine. It finally turned...

    PST 1.03 TORSION BARS

I have the same situation with my right side bar. I just had enough room to force the locking ring in. The drivers side was a piece of cake. I drove it for the first time today, love the way it rides and handles now. I have yet to make the final adjustment to the ride height, but it's very...

    67 Barracuda convertible, suspension rebuild

Look for a later Kframe and rebuild it, 73 to 74 will work. There is a spacer for the ball joint stud to reuse the earlier spindle if you need to use it. Make sure the sleeves on the kframe for the lower control arms are good, no cracks and the pins fit tight. The 67 kframe has a one year only...

    EARLY A-Body (1961) Steering Coupler?

If I remember right there are 2 different shell sizes. Can you get a picture of the coupler with some measurements? The shell lengths I think are the only difference. If the coupler shell is worn internally you might want to look for a new shell and innards. To start though, post a pic! Mopar...

    Bad k-frame?

The 273 that came from the factory might have been mounted higher but it had a larger open pulley. There is a 360 in it now and all the associated brackets. Everything fits nicely. My apologies for changing the thread, most of the k frames have awful welds and should be gone over before you...

    Bad k-frame?

I'm not sure where the Kframe was put together, but I wonder if they all used the same design. The new one I used was from a 68 Barracuda with manual steering. My old original came with my car new. It was a original P/S car. It was Plymouth, who knows why they did it...

    Bad k-frame?

Here's a picture of the 68 K frame ready to go into the car. The second is the one I took out. You can see where they cut the original brace out and the new one with it in place. I removed it before I installed the K frame. The new one came from a 1968 Barracuda.

    Bad k-frame?

Actually I wouldn't have had to cut the piece out if it looked like yours, mine wasn't laid over. It stood up and had a bend pointing towards the battery.

    Bad k-frame?

Here's some pictures of the old K Frame with the mod from the factory, the 68 had the triangular support in place. I had to cut that one out to match this. 273 formula s with power steering. I'm sorry it took so long, the pic's from my cell were too large. I grabbed my old camera for this shot...

    Bad k-frame?

The original 67 had that wedge cut out too, it must have been a factory mod to use the P/S pump. I still have the 67 Kframe in the garage.

    Bad k-frame?

If you're asking about the lower radiator support just straighten it out with a rubber mallet. One thing about changing Kframes, I had to cut off a triangular piece below the power steering pump for pump clearance. I don't think it's a problem with manual steering.

    Bad k-frame?

When I rebuilt the front end on my 67 I replaced the Kframe with a 68. It has a better idler mount. I spent a couple of days rewelding the 68. I also reinforced the steering box mount and the LCA pin sleeves. My father ran a welding shop, he would have fired the guy that ran a bead like the...

    Steering issue

What about the steering linkage, is it binding anywhere? Get it up on jackstands and try the steering. Look for a broken upper cam mount/bolt.

    Idler arm problem? Please help

I'll try again, this is what the book shows. And as above no number for the BB idler arm. My small block is the opposite of the picture. I think that set up would give you the clearance you want. I added this from the old suspension book. I'm not sure it's accurate, the 67 idler is a one year...

    Idler arm problem? Please help

I'm pretty sure you have the wrong idler and center link. Here's a pic of a front end from 68-72, the idler comes down from above instead of from underneath. That should move your centerlink down and away from the pan. Also, the centerlink should be tapered the opposite way as yours. Guess...

    TB problems

Heat the adjuster block with a Mapp torch. You'll have to get it really hot. That works most of the time. Can you run the bolt back in, sometimes that works too.

one last power steering pump question.

I hope this helps, they never really line up. I believe the pulley is on backwards too, reverse it and it should be alot better.

Sounds like a plan, hope the install works out as planned. How do you plan to set up the new ones?

    identify blue shocks

X2!!!! You really need to match the shock to the spring rate (or torsion bar rate). Too little and it won't dampen enough and too big and the shock heats up.

Removing Torsion Bars? and leaving them out?

I'd leave them in, they stabilize the back side of the lower control arm. You could back them off a bit. If you're not road racing and just cruising it might be ok. Some one on here had built a tubular lower control arm that would work well with your setup. Do a search.

    steering wheel play

I rebuilt mine a while back, you need to loosen and move the steering wheel back, drive out the rolled pin that holds the housing to the steering gear. It's a job on the V8s. Replacing the spring and shoes inside will fix the problem. Check the housing for wear. I got the kit off eBay.

I've been looking for one too. have you tried Firm Feel? PS hose is different then hydraulic hose.

    Moog offset bushing install question.

My car is set up that way, I have yet to encounter any bump steer, but I've only been driving through the summer. The guy that aligned it did a great job, he's an old timer that knows Mopars. I had bump steer before I replaced the Kframe, the lower control arm pin sockets were shot. It's all...
