I need to rebuild my AFB, it's been done once and the accelerator pump only puts out a weak stream. Who makes a good rebuild kit??

That looks like a later 273 manifold. The choke well is there and the temp sensor is there. Are you keeping the AC? I don't see any problems with using it.

Remember the Platinum coated screen cups that sat under the carb? I tried that one in a big block. I think it was supposed to ionize the fuel or turn it to gold or something. It was still in when I sold the car, well it did catch anything that fell into the carb!!!

Have you tried acetone/trans oil?

I ran a Weiand 8007 with a AFB on my Barracuda with no problems, try one of the cheap Summit air cleaners. I believe you can get a lowered base pretty cheap from them. Close the hood VERY carefully and see if there is any contact.

The one I saw was like a NASCAR 3 bbl. The secondary's are a single oval venturi.

If it started out idling at 900 and then jumped to 1500 after a few weeks and nothing was changIed I would look for a vacuum leak.

I used JB weld on my 72 TQ, it seems to work fine but I haven't put it on the motor yet. It's going on my 360 this winter. I had a problem with those wells too, they are a PITA to get placed and sealed correctly.

I have a small crack in the passengers side bowl. What type of epoxy could be used to repair it? Can it be repaired?

On the air cleaner I had the bottom plate had a knock-out and a hose adapter.

Did that on my daughters car, I think it was a loc-tite product...it's an epoxy you mix and spread on the carb threads and a release agent for the fuel line threads...let it set up and it worked great!! other then that maybe helicoil??

If it's a weiand, I have it's twin brother..sent it back and they returned it with a note claiming there's nothing wrong. I'll never buy anything from those nitwits again. The new Eddie fits fine, go figure! I wonder if the premium gasket makers would have something to fit?? If you find one let...
