Arent F bodys the same width as B bodys rear end wise? I know that those had 8.25s, it was likely swapped in at one point. Does it have 11 inch drums?

Ill bet you have to do a ton of modifying to get it to fit. Like cutting your tunnel out and making a new one that will fit that new style trans, and also make a custom trans cross member. Ill also bet the bell housing is different. Edit: Thought the Torqueflite 8 was the new 8 speed auto trans...

The factory had 'Kelsey haynes' disks with four piston calipers unfilled bbp came out. Find a set of those for the front end and call it good.

I heard on this site that the 9 inch from the 57-59 farilane bolts right into an a body. It's supost to be half an inch more narrow on each side for bigger wheels.
