I'm looking into aftermarket disc brake conversions and I was wondering if there are any other differences between the later 73+ 10inch drum spindles and the 72-older 10inch drum spindles? I know the 73+ has the larger upper ball joints but are there any other differences?

I just put 73sbp drum front end on a car and it had large ball joints. They were the large finned drums.

I would love to use one of these in my wagon, and match it with a 4 link rear..

Im looking to upgrade to bbp discs up front and to replace the front end components (bushings ball joints ect) Ive noticed a huge price difference between say a 64 Valiant tie rod and a 74 Duster tie rod. Can I use 74 Duster tie rods on a 64 valiant? Something else weird is that they sell front...

There you go, try it both ways. Ive only used poly on my cars, and the ride really stiffens up. My wagon Im going to try Moog rubber.

I just put a set of the gray ones on the front of my car. Made a good differece.

It's time to replace the shocks on the wagon and apparently, kyb gas adjust are now over 70 dollars each at the local auto parts stores.. Where do you guys get your shocks and which ones do you like?

Yeah, upgrading the front end bushings to poly ones and replacing the ball joints should help a lot. I had issues with an old car I used to have and after replacing the parts made it drive like a new car. Really stiffens stuff up.

they should, 74+ a-bodies had 14s with bbp discs.

Grab one of the wheels while the front of the car is on blocks and move it around with your hands to see how much slop there is. Replacing the bushings with polyurithane and new ball joints is definatly a nice idea.

Pretty sure a company called stockton wheel could make you some. But they might be pricey..
