Maybe if someone could possibly make a 4 valve head work without making it a DOHC, maybe similar to the cummins 24 valve?

He was shooting for stock 383 hp numbers, went to a smaller pulley on the blower and popped the stock felpro head gasket. I think it made like 320ish hp when it popped. Fresh stock short block, ported head with big valves, mild-ish cam, surfaces of head and blocked were milled for more...

On Engine Masters (Motor trend on demand) they ran one on a slant recently.

Its been there awhile. They tried selling the whole car but the thing is way too rusty. Its likely that the block is not good, a lot of those aluminum blocks were eaten away from the inside out from the coolant. Still pretty cool to see one!

I have an offy intake on my 4speed wagon and it was a huge improvement over the one barrel.. Shoot for a 390-500 cfm carb. Mine is a 600 and it too big..

I've had the same issue with a couple slant sixes, some marvels mystery oil sprayed all over eventually fixed the issue.

Excited to see what it does at the track! Maybe after all of the bugs are worked out you'll be able to take it out on a long cruise! Its got the gear for it!

From what I recall, the 8.25 vs the 7.25 and everything else the same the drive shaft will be an inch too long and need to be shortened. Also its a different bolt pattern as all 8.25s are 4.5 inch patter vs your stock 4 inch pattern.

Yeah, 8.25 is plenty good enough. Plus you can convert it to rear disc easily using the setup from a 95-98 grand cherokee.. I recently picked up an a-body 8.25 with 3.23s for $200 at a swapmeet.

The wagon you guys are talking about was a 66 dart wagon that was stolen and wrecked from a member on here. 64dartgt or something like that.

The way I usually tell is if it has a longer bypass hose from the water pump to the head its either a 225 or a 198 (probably a 225). If it has a really short hose there (like 1 inch) its a 170.

3 speeds don't have the greatest ratios, An A833 4 speed Od is pretty much the same as a 3 speed but with a 4th gear overdrive. And a standard A833 has better ratios then both but 4th gear is the same as 3rd gear in both the 3 speed and 4 speed Od.

What about the mid 70's 3-speed bell housings that are aluminum? Do they have the correct size hole?

Also If this motor has drool tubes, that could result in oil on the threads.
