I run 10.2 staric and 8.8 dynamic cam is 251, 260 @50 and run 91 with 32 degrees timing

I have changed the oil, installed the new rockers, remeasured for new pushrods, replaced old studs and set the lash on all the rockers. Fired her up and she sounds a lot cleaner. No more ticking noise. Glad this was an easy fix!

I am not running it anymore, but I also don't have the part numbers for the rockers also. They stopped making these rockers a long time ago. And they are fords, at the time that I purchased them (6 years ago) I read that ford and chevy rockers were the same, but they actually are not because...

You clearly did. 1st stated I used ford rockers...And magnum stuff is not stud mounted it's bolt mounted. So anything after that is ford or chevy. Why the hell would I run stock stuff in a 410 stroker with spring pressure more than enough for a 251-260 camshaft? I also told you that I purchased...

Ya these two things are really hard to tell apart. I was going to wait till I installed all the new equipment I purchased form HUGHES...New guide plates, studs and rockers...all the correct stuff, fire it up and see if it still made the sound...

Interesting, the gaskets are REMFLEX so I thought they are not suppose to leak. The converter is brand new and the flex plate is used, used by me that is. It sounds like exhaust to me too hmm

Pulling the pan is last resort for me. Last time I pulled the engine...it was main bearings bad....I'm really hoping this is something not to do with the oil pump or taking the pan off. If I have to pull the engine I will be pretty bummed, so I am trying all other things first.

Vac gauge, funny thing is, I was always told to adjust for highest vac reading. When I get the highest reading (8-9), the engine runs like **** and wants to die, when I get it to run great and not want to die and fires right up first try, it's not at it's highest vac reading, but is stead 7psi

From the research I have been seeing, I agree with the relief spring, where is the drain back valve located? Would another liquid mixed with the oil cause an issue? Water? Gas? I have great oil pressure just very very erratic readings. I wish I could upload the videos I have some how hmm I will...

What is the drain back valve? Is that what the filter screws onto or what? If I recall correctly, I don't recall the gauge ever doing this after first break in, so I am stumped

I will try the filter first. The oil needs to be ordered, so it's not an easy buy and fill. I have extra filters and 1/2 qt of oil for the filter. So I will do this and see if I can cut it open too
