    Detroit-ish

This is a Dee-troit thing. Better Made potato chips are an old Detroit company. They make these chocolate covered chips but they were only available at their factory downtown. But this year I spied them at some local grocery stores for the first time. Very pricey at $12.99 for 7 oz but it makes...

Just purchased ‘98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L

The Manta name wasn’t used on ‘71 & ‘72 in the US, but in ‘73 and after it was called a Manta. So technically my car is a 1900 Sport Coupe but it’s a Manta.

Just purchased ‘98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L

I always wanted one of these but would never have paid $40,000+ when new. This was one of my ideas when I worked for Chrysler. I suggested installing the larger displacement V8 Magnum engines in the ZJ Grand Cherokee, pretty simple right? To say there was ZERO enthusiasm is not an exaggeration...

Does anyone drive a late model Jeep vehicle?

Three years ago I bought a low mile PT to drive my mom around, she’s 96 now. I’m glad I got it because she can get in and out of it. I’m not sure there’s a car on the market that has the same ingress & egress.

I have some I’ve had for years. When they came out I was buying them as gifts. I gave one to a buddy that installed alarms. His cow-orkers had a contest to see who has the brightest flashlight and when he joined they all laughed at him because I had gotten him a small one that used two AA...

    Two tone early A dash

Yes. Here’s a pic from ‘66 assembly manual (page 369) and it shows the upper horizontal surface as “suede” and the vertical is “gloss”. What is confusing on the ‘66 is the difference between turquoise interior (turquoise dash) and light blue interior with a dark blue dash.
