I ALWAYS get Michelin. They warranty for 10 years while everyone else is only 5 years. They are always good to great.

Michelin is the only tire that says their tires can be used for 10 years, all others say replace after 5 years regardless of the wear & condition. So for a car that might not get driven a lot Michelin might be a better choice.

For 14" I would think that a good used set would be the best route. But good 14 " tires are getting more difficult to find than the wheels.

Today's tires are only good for five years ( except Michelin which are good for ten) and it is recommend that they be replaced after five years. To me a tire is inexpensive compared to a blow out while driving.

It depends on the width of the rim. Since those are new after market they could be an inch or two wider than an original Rally rim ( which is 5 &1/2 inches). For an original rim a 205/70R14 tire is a good size that fits the early A's well. I think a 215/70R14 is another alternative thats a bit...

No on the 13" because you of need to get disc brakes. I too call full wheel covers hub caps, but that's not technically correct as hub caps only cover the lug nuts.

I used mopar argent on some used wheels. Not sure if it's a perfect color match but the paint has held up very well for at least five years.

For a specific answer to your question: You should consider Kuhmo Solus KR21 215/70R14 That is if you have 5.5" wide wheels (a lot of 14" small bolt wheels are 4.5" wide) - these tires will fit your car and should be good general use tires. There aren't too many choices in 14" tires today.

You can get the Mopar paint at any Dodge or Chrysler dealer. They'll probably need to order it but they'll have it in one day. I did a set of rally wheels and ordered three cans but used less than two. Before I apply the paint I put the cans in warm water, just whatever hot water comes out...
