66 valiant signet convertible Barracuda Conversion

That looks great as a Barracuda. The ‘66 Barracuda has by far the best looking dash of the early cars. I would love to have put a Formula S in my convertible.

My First Mopar- 1966 Barracuda project

I gotta tell ya it’s going to be a challenge to make a budget driver out of a ‘66 Barracuda and getting stuff from Layson’s makes it even harder.

At a Crossroad...again. If I had only known!!!

Anyone else had this experience? Yes, I think everyone has and not just with cars but houses and almost anything else. I don’t expect you would feel much of a seat or the pants difference stock manifold vs headers. I suggest you set a deadline of having your car drivable by next May. Then...

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

On ‘66 Valiants I have also seen similar variations of different types of trim fasteners.

    My second 1965 Dodge Dart.

I enjoy reading about your progress. There’s a lot of things to do but at the rate you’re going you’ll be driving it soon. The trim around the headlights, the “candy canes”, are always dented & dinged; I hope you get yours to be presentable. If there’s a Hobby Lobby nearby they may have some...

I suggested Turbine Bronze which could look fantastic with the right amount of metallic. Sorta like this (I doubt these are Turbine bronze but use your imagination)

This? Or Chrysler Turbine Bronze would be interesting too but I’m not sure about interior color.

I would pick 1966 DD-1 Light Blue Poly (in ‘65 I think the same color was Medium Blue Poly) Paint Chips 1966 Plymouth

    Fireside Valiant chat

I think these early Valiants look best in their light blue color or light turquoise. I might consider a pearlescent light turquoise - very sixties but would be unique today. A matching interior color like the light blue dash pic you posted of the ‘65 dash looks great. You could consider a light...

Oh on a ‘65 Valiant you can install a ‘65 Barracuda grill!

I think the ‘65 dash from a Signet or 200 looks better with the three spoke faux wood steering wheel. The best early dash is the ‘66 Barracuda.

    66 Dart GT Convertible Interior

You could paint those with SEM “landau” black; it is a very close almost perfect match to the original interior color.
