    Cosmoline. Newer cars use it and it's a ***** to get off because it's like a blend of wax and vaseline but it does the job well.

    Bro, I'd have sent pics but I was gonna have you PM me your number and text them to you. It's still good to have a good cowl seal. I think it keeps motor stink out of your fresh air inlets.

    Yeah. The hood to radiator seal will run all the way from fender to fender. The cowl seal is only about 35" long.

    Do you mean the seal between hood and cowl (near windshield) or atop the radiator support?

    i was just hoping the OP would comment on what he ended up using and how he liked 'em but since he hasn't been on the forums in 3 years, I guess that ain't happening. Just another case of someone jumping on when they need some info but not offering any in return.

    vinyl top and windshield install

    on my '69 barracuda, the vinyl is tucked under the seal up front. Far enough to keep it from popping out on its own, obviously. Its a replacement so I can't help give "factory" specs.
