    Trans Cooler

I use one on my 'Cuda. I have a 2800-3200 converter and a 3.55:1 gear. At 70 I'm a little over 3000 rpm. My tranny temp is always 190 or below. Mostly it runs 150-170 degrees. I only use the external and not the one in the radiator.

Kick down ajustment on tf 727

You need to have some free play before your throttle is engaged. Do not pull on the cable. Set the stop with approx. 1/16" free play while the cable is at rest. I never look at what is happening at the tranny when adjusting the stop. Check out the visible gap in my pic...a little more than...

Kick down ajustment on tf 727

This is the stop you set the throttle pressure with to control the kickdown. You should see a small gap, maybe 1/16" or so to start with. Take it for a drive after setting and adjust from there. After your first adjustment you will see which way you need to position the stop. I worded it...

    3:55 gears on the street

Engine size makes no difference. It's about tire diameter and gear ratio as far as I know. Slip thru the tranny may have some effect.
