    Header install question

Not TTI, but I put Hedman long tube hedders on my 5.9 in less than a day by myself on the ground with a floor jack and jackstands. 2 days for hedders they better be working on it between other jobs.

anyone install long tube headers on 72 Dart swinger

And still have to dent them for clearance. It’s a lot easier to ding cheaper hedders. :D

What's the cheapest way to install and exhaust system on a big block a body

Cheapest would probably be self made and exits in front of the rear tires. Hedders are a PIA with a big block in an A body. Especially if you plan on having power steering.

    spitfire header gasket question

I was able to use the same set on two different motors without them coming apart. On my car the #8 cylinder tube is not attached to the flange, and when I was shifting the exhaust a bit that separate tube tore the gasket (kinda smeared it). I had to buy a whole new set of Remflex just for that...

    spitfire header gasket question

If you don’t find out what you asked, Remflex gaskets are the best you can get for hedders. Here’s some reviews on them, and I agree with the 5 star rating 100%...

    Truck manifolds on Dart Sport?

1995 Dakota with a 5.2 I have a 1995 5.9 from a Ram 1500 and the overdrive trans from the 95 Dakota 2wd. Year doesn’t matter really, because all these parts fit all small block Dodge including the V6.

    Truck manifolds on Dart Sport?

I got mine for 12 bucks out of the pick a part 7 years ago. Well, it was 2 bucks to get in the place so 14. That’s 2 bucks a year for literally thousands of starts a year.:D

    before the axle turn downs

My pipes exit in front of the wheels, but I turned the pipes up as much as I could after going under the subframe. Doesn't blow dust up but it's kinda loud with the windows all down.

    before the axle turn downs

That is a thing to consider, because cooking the gear lube does happen. On of our local guys has turn downs and I won't follow him too close even on a paved road just idling through town. Paved roads have dust as well, and it kicks up a cloud. Probably doesn't bother him either, but the guys...

Choosing the right exhaust help needed.

One other thing. Dumping under the car causes the reverberation from the exhaust to bounce off the road and come back up to the floor and is way louder inside the car. One of the guys was complaining about how loud it was inside the car and I pointed out a metal grating in the street with a...

Choosing the right exhaust help needed.

I did exactly that with 2.5 inch pipe and Flowmaster 40's. Probably Borla would have been a better choice of muffler because it is kinda loud for daily driving. One of our local Mopar group has his turned down in front of the axle, and every dirty road or parking lot he kicks up all kinds of...

    LA to magnum

Magnum head bolts are "stretch to yield" and really should only be used once. OE head bolts for your swap should be just fine, and you can get them about anywhere.

    LA to magnum

I used the same headers and bolts when I swapped out my 318 for the magnum motor, so they should be the same.

    Fenderwell Headers with side exhaust

Yes and still is as it's on the Phoenix Craigslist. He said he has 99% of the stuff to put it back stock street legal, and a lot of it is new in boxes. Really nice guy, and loves to talk Mopar.

    Header fitment rant, Doug's

Someone once asked what the difference was between cheap and expensive headers was, and my answer was "It hurts a lot more to make expensive headers fit."

TTI 1 7/8 Headers hitting oil pan

"Ok Trail, what would you do if this was your car?" I'm so glad you asked. I would pull that pan and mod it like this and then wrap that tube with header wrap all the way back past the pan. The heat produced under heavy throttle is going to cook the oil running down the inside of the pan.

    Which Remflex gaskets?

That mostly depends on your exhaust port shape. Stockish dodge small block heads have an odd shaped port on the center four cylinders that the square port gaskets tend to get off the edge a little into the center headbolt cutout, so I think you need the Part Number: RFL-6004 but check it out...

2 bucks a person here for an all day pass weather you leave and come back or not. Here small stuff they will give you because you paid the 2 bucks. Dang man, if you lived around here our local Mopar group would soooo hook you up.
