Stripped threads on driver’s door light switch.

I think you will be surprised how well this works. Some wire like for speakers wrapped around the switch threads and screw it in there. You will very likely have to experiment with how much wire works best, but I used this method years ago and it is still fine. The switches don’t need to be very...

    Summit single stage?

I ordered my tcp global through Walmart and it was even cheaper than tcp website price. Free shipping as well. Maybe it still is. Around $125 for a gallon with hardener, reducer, filters and stir sticks. I think it’s driver quality.

    C-pillar question

I have seen people use metal as you mentioned, and it worked out just fine. Don’t know if this will give you another option or not, but I had that same problem. I wire wheeled the filler out.rough sanded the area and used short strand fiberglass. (by Bondo) Been on there for 5-6 years and still...

68 Dart remote mirror mounting instructions

There are really only two things to know. Remove the screw on bezel on the control so it goes through the door from the inside, put your plastic base on and feed the control end through the mounting on the outside of the door, and the control cables were tied/clipped to the front of the door on...

Door panel belt or window seal molding glue?

The 3M double sided tape is tough stuff, and I think would work well for that. I use it for emblems and other things that have to stay on flat surfaces without pins or studs. Actually never had anything come loose. The gorilla products are pretty damn good also. If you use 3m weather strip...

Kind of an odd question, but...hood hinges won't close entirely after sitting open for years.

What I do is loosen all the bolts, then lift the front of the hood till the bolts stop it and tighten them down again.

69 Dart lock supposed to open when door shuts?

No one asked, I realize that but just in case some did decide to put remote locks in. I installed a set of remote/keyless entry electric door locks about 5 years ago. The set was for a four door and I figured if the passenger side died I would have a spare. The driver side is the main control...

    Signal indicators

Oh, and just in case you don’t know already those lights get their ground at the bottom side of the rubber base. You can see the ground tabs on either side of the screw hole. I bend those up a little to make sure, and they must contact bare metal.

    Signal indicators

Here ya go. Center of both holes for the indicator with screws in the top is 1-1/4 from the inside edge of the fender. From your headlight trim the screw hole is 6-3/16 back. The larger hole is 6-7/8 back. Both measurements are to the centers of the holes. The larger hole is 11/16 diameter.

    Installing hood hinge

Washers under the arm attaching points if fine, and personally I prefer it. Push nut can go down solid, and a little grease under them. Brushing the spring coil down with a tacky grease will keep it from groaning when opening and closing the hood. Just a FYI for your consideration, I drilled the...

Bond a fiberglass scoop to a steel hood

This is a fiberglass scoop on a steel hood. It has 6 mounting studs. I drilled the hood for the studs and set it on, the used a magic marker and outlined the scoop. Then I took it off and while staying inside the marker line, removed the paint 1 inch inside the line and sanded it hard with 60...

    Hood coil spring unwound

I had one do that on the Wife’s Dart. The center stud came loose and spun. Had to take the assembly off and weld the stud back in position, then put the spring back on it. (Lots of fun) They have a pretty good preload on them. Putting it back on I drilled the mounting studs and used a...

So then did you see the triple chrome plated panel for $1,300 on ebay? We looked for another one because of some pitting, but a lot of them looked like they originally had dimples. Where the paint was still there you could see them under the paint. Del, I generally don’t show what I do, but...

It’s basic emblem type material (pot metal maybe?) No dents, just most of the paint gone. Thanks. Nothing was adjusted right on the body, hood, doors and...

    Not a Mopar, but...

This is some of my favorite stuff to do on cars. You can see what this Pontiac trim panel looked like before I got my hands on it, and after it was done.
